Youth Internationals Kris Wilkes and Dale Blackmore have gone to Warrington, both are from North Wales which is interesting to note.

I think that is seven Welsh players on the books at Warrington now.

Gee Warrington could have more Welsh players than the Crusaders in a few years lol

Well done to Warrington, once the Evans twins hit Super League, watch all the clubs start looking for players in Wales.

Which would be great, so long as Crusaiders remain competitive. The Welsh national side will only get stronger. Just need to win a few hearts and minds from Yawnion and Wales will be a RL powerhouse.

Ah the days of Cunningham, Harris and Briers could be returning for Wales, where they can scare Australia in a world cup semi. If progress is good, a scare could easily turn into a win.

I think that the Crusaders are still sorting out other aspects of their club, but in the future they should aim to develop Welsh players as well.

Yeah, Warrington isn't that far from N Wales. Maybe 3/4 an hour, tops from Warrington to Wrexham. Wireman will have more idea than me.

Cause Warrington is the happening place to be in the UK!! :D

Ahem..
About 30 mins in the car to north Wales down the M56. (Wrexham is in a bit and about an hour away.)

When you leave Wales, Warrington is the first super league team you get to and is dead easy to get to by Road or Rail. Its prob easier to get to Warrington than Wrexham from south Wales. Straight up the M5 then M6.

Widnes is a bit closer but no one wants to go there!!

Its good we are spending our money on youngsters.

No doubt if the Crusaders get a foot hold in North Wales they may look at getting some of the kids to go play for them which is fair enough. However it will be good for the national team if Welsh players play for more than one club.

Exclaimation marks a smiley AND an embarrassed clearing of the throat says it all ;-)

It is and it isn't. More Welsh youngsters at SLE clubs means less English youngsters being signed up. Good for Welsh RL though.

Yeah, the more Welsh kids in SLE the better it is for Welsh RL a la the Kiwis in the NRL outside of the Warriors.

:D No!!

Its a lovely place. ;-)

Between Wire, Saints, Wigan, Salford, Widnes and Leigh we should have the area covered. If you want to play Rugby and your good enough someone will spot you!

Its good to be taking on Welsh youngsters, especially with the uncertaincy around the crusaders. Where they will be playing etc. We have a good history of Welsh players at Wire also, Davies, Batemen, Ellis, Harris and Briers for example.

Crusaders are developing Welsh players, Elliot Kear is only 20 and has played more games than he's missed so far this season, and they have the likes of Flower and White who have featured heavily too as well as other squad members like Dudson, Williams and Mills. They may also be getting some ready-made Welsh players in the near future, if rumours are to be believed ;-)

Ok, it's a lovely place full of Scousers.

Don't forget Mike Nicholas and John Bevan ;-)
