I love cleary as a player and even think it's honourable to support your mates but that's a pr disaster. Posting support for a player sacked on the same day with a pic in uniform. He's basically give the club and sponsors the big up yours.
That’s exactly what he is doing. And good on him for sayIng f**k you to a weak as piss board who have shown gutless behaviour giving in to News Limited media pressure.

If the Panthers want to be an NRL powerhouse, then follow the example of the Roosters and Storm, who no way would of sacked a player for posting lyrics of a song on Twitter so they didn’t cop ant more media pressure.

I couldn’t care less whether they gave May another chance or fired him, as long as they were doing for the benefit of the Panthers. But to do it because they are caving in to negative media pressure, well we might as well add Hooper, Rothfield and Kent on to our Board.

You come out with so much crap. Now having friends is illegal?

Yep that's definitely what I was saying. Especially when the first sentence says "honourable to support your mates".

Or he is telling a mate he is still there for him. There is no way no one involved with the club didn't see this coming the moment the show cause was presented.

There is simply no way to prove what May meant by the post

Why does everything have to play out on Instagram? Yeah I sound like a boomer but damn.

It's only on Panthers LU this idea of media pressure is a thing.

Jesus there are some whiners on here. Your favorite sex pest is gone. Two years too late, mind. Suck it up and get on with your life. Go and like his Instagram posts or something, instead of crying about the club doing the right thing.

That is the issue. Social media there were 5 or so media beat ups all due to social media posts. Hopefully that is banned going forward

To be honest I think it came down to that in the end.

Tight salary cap.

Need a new centre:

$250,000 saved.

Sponsors and media (hopefully) off their back.

Right on wrong Taylan May was right

The club may need to look at an enhanced social media policy.

Probably won't go down well with the players but its for their own benefit. Kinda like the old days of sending out players with a minder.

Players social media activity needs to be moderated.

And there are some sanctimonious shits as well trying to preach to others what they should think.
