Said it before and I'll say it again. The long term future for Tyronne Peachy is to share the dummy half duties with James Segeyaro. He is ideally suited to the role, more so than as a free roaming back rower. I don't know where that would leave young Keiran Mosely who himself is very talented but geez and Segeyaro - Peachy combination would surely have to be the best two dummy half combination in the NRL. I don't expect Kingston to lose his position in the near future but long term the combination would surely be mouth watering.

Anyone that saw his try and NSW Cup can't argue with that. It's quite simple for me really. We need another impact player off the bench. So we have no need for 2 hookers. If Seg can't start Brown plays early then goes to the pack. Peachey can fill in pretty much anywhere including hooker

Im only passing on what i have been told. People can form their own opinion.

Unfortunately i think Tyrone has a feeling of entitlement, that feeling drove him out of Cronulla.

If he was to want out, id like to think Cronulla have shut the door already.

I honestly don't see why he's rated so highly. I'd have him in our side ahead of Brown, but full strength he's fighting for a spot with similar or better talents IMO.

11. Manu
12. Taylor
13. Docker

Two bench spots for utility and second row between Lewis Brown, Matt Robinson, Tyrone Peachey, Anthony Cherrington, Bryce Cartright, Vaipuna Tia Kilifi, Ryan Simpkins, Daniel Foster etc. but that's not until Kingston is dropped and Segeyaro starts.

Tyrone doesn't stand out in the company he has here IMO. I think he's too small for the second row, and even moreso when we have a pretty small second row compared to most sides. Only position he should be considered for is bench utility. But I can't see Kingston being dropped anytime soon.

If he wants out let him go. Much rather hang onto Mansour.

I wholeheartedly disagree

I've been very impressed with Peachey so far this season. I agree that he is undersized and I'm not sure what his best position is, but what I do know is that he possesses a touch of class. He has great ball skills, good footwork and the ability to create havoc on the edges or running at tired defensive lines.

I definitely think he can fill the role of a bench utility/impact player provided you had enough size on the remaining bench to cover.

Given our team currently lacks creativity, guys like Peachey and Segeyaro are critical to our success this season

I think he needs a lot of improvement for a spot in our top 17. If he feels he deserves a spot without having earmed it, piss him off. We have plenty of talent in the second row and utility positions. Id rather keep him as he is potentially a weapon. But for now he's no better then many others.

I agree that if he feels a sense of entitlement or something then that's an issue, however I disagree that he's no better than many others.

With any forward pack you need workers and creators. The problem is our forward pack has an over abundance of workers, we need some guys that can create opportunities.

Exactly. We are super one-dimensional as a side; we shouldn't be in the habit of binning the few spark players we have without good reason.

I agree.

We need 2 props on the bench looking at our roster they won't do to much apart from the basics. Nor will Taylor, Docker or Brown. So we need the spark from someone

Hopefully Brown and Docker are pushed out next season and we're looking at something like Manu, Cartwright, Taylor with Peachey and someone else on the bench.

Brown yes, Docker No. Adam Docker has been one of the top performers this year

Our forward pack ihasn't done much damage this season, primarily due to a lack of size IMO. Defensively it has been brilliant, but against the bigger packs we're not making too many metres with the ball in hand. Peachey could be a handy utility when James Segeyaro is finally starting and Kevin Kingston isn't part of the team. But until then, our pack is just too small to carry Segeyaro (84kg), Kingston (89kg), Peachey (95kg), Docker (91kg) and Brown (98kg).

I know that for the most part these guys play above their weight, but these aren't guys who make a huge dent in the opposition line when running the ball and tire them out by carrying them. Most wingers run the ball just as hard as these guys and weigh even more. Having so many light forwards in the team makes Josh Mansour even more valuable to the side.

Jamal Idris ran the ball 18 times for 222m gained. 4 tackle breaks. 3 offloads.
Grant, McKendry, Manu, Taylor and Docker ran the ball 33 times for 231m gained. 0 tackle breaks. 1 offload.

Josh Mansour ran the ball 17 times for 167m gained. 8 tackle breaks. 1 offload.
Latimore, Brown and Plum ran the ball 30 times for 236m gained. 1 tackle break. 1 offload.

I know Peachey breaks a lot of tackle by bouncing off defenders. But he doesn't tire forwards out and isn't a metre eater. He would be ideal covering an impact utility spot off the bench, but at the moment he's a poor fit for the other forwards we have.

When our centre and winger combination practically equal or better our entire forward pack in a game. There's something wrong. Even Whare and DWZ on the other side of the field put our forward packs metres to shame, with only Jeremy Latimore cracking over 100 metres.

IMO we're missing a destructive ball runner like a Frank Pritchard or Sonny Bill Williams in the forward pack.

I think our best balanced forward pack would be something along the lines of:

8. Tim Grant
9. James Segeyaro
10. Brent Kite
11. Sika Manu
12. Elijah Taylor
13. Adam Docker

14. Sam McKendry
15. Nigel Plum
16. 100kg+ ball running / offloading second rower - Best fits from what we have are probably Matt Robinson, Anthony Cherrington, Vaipuna Tia Kilifi and eventually Bryce Cartright. Wouldn't mind seeing Reegan Campbell-Gillard used in this style either. He has some good pace for a big fella.

If we had all of those guys in place... then Tyrone Peachey would be an ideal utility for the bench. You can look at how the game is going and deceide if Peach would be best used replacing Segeyaro at hooker to keep size in the rest of the pack, or if he would slot into lock better and change the dynamic of our pack from defensive to attacking. Of if you would use him out wide instead of Manu because there are plenty of holes for him to run into.

Both Peachey and Segeyaro will be more effective when we have size in our pack. As it stands now the defensive workhorses are needed because we seem to spend a lot of the game defending our line.
