Ok, maybe some diehard U2 fan can explain this to me...

At the start of Vertigo, they count in in Spanish. Un, dos, tres, catorce.

Translated: one, two, three, fourteen.

What the f**k is up with that? Significant number, or did nobody tell Bono how to count properly?

Maybe some signifance to this album, with the "fourteen" part anyway. Could be a reference as to how fast their careers have been, going from their third album to their fourteenth in the blink of an eye.

I could be 4000% wrong tho, wouldn't be the first time.

not bad at all, best songs: vertigos and city of blinding lights
all because of you and miracle drugs OK too

the only problem is a lot of their songs are starting to sound the same

the words to beautiful day could actually go with the backing music of one or two of their songs off this new album

I'm looking forward to it but I'm starting to worry about Bono's voice. He is really losing it, the studio recordings you can hear the loss of his voice but it really stands out on the live DVDs from 2001.

Hope there's a few good songs on it. I liked most of their last album. haven't heard their new song, don't listen to commercial radio anymore.

There was an old song from the 60s that started just like that, called Bully Bully.

Perhaps he copied it from that song.

Twizzle - no doubt that's the reason.

I haven't bought a U2 album for close to a million years. Their 8th album was the last I bought.

I'm thinking of buying this album though. I'm surprised after all these years, people are still listening to them.

I like U2, love them to be exact, but Vertigo does nothing for me. It's just not appealing on any level, for me.
