This is what happens when you allow clubs that are barely able to keep their heads above water to vote on key strategic decisions for the overall sport.
You get self interest and decline.

How much more needs to happen before people get that the current way isn't working?
There has to be a central body that runs the sport in the UK with no influence from the clubs.

Unless things change I can only see things getting worse

- London Broncos owner David Hughes no longer funding the club and the club are now looking for new owners

- Rumours that Cornwall will be giving up their licence

- Catalan will be forced to pay travel and accommodation costs of away teams leaving a hole in their budget and likely affect the competitiveness of the playing squad

- Toulouse still paying all costs for away teams. This has affected the competitiveness of their squad. It's nowhere near the quality when they got promoted to SL during covid

- RFL announce record losses for 2023

1. Dave Hughes has done a very poor job of getting Broncos to be a decent club worthy of SL. Hes had two decades and allegedly spent tens of millions and they ranked 24th behind the likes of RL giants Batley and Newcastle! The reason they are not in SL next year is because he has not been able to build a strong B or A grade club. That is on him. (Its easy to blame the RFL for your own failure!)
2. Cornwall? haha the guys a sham artist, why the f**k would you set up a club in Cornwall of all places?
3. They've had 25 years to get a French tv deal to cover the costs and failed to do so.
4. See above
5. It wasnt a record loss, not even close to it.

Dont let facts get in the way of a good rant though! Name me a sport where the top clubs dont have voting rights on decisions about the top league.

Yep the nrl shouldn’t invest a single cent into the English league

Its insular and anti expansion

If the nrl wants to invest focus on France and bring back the Wolfpack and perhaps a London Newcastle and Manchester sides outside the rfl and super league structure

So you think 'Super' League is in good shape? Clearly I'm missing something. It must be the fact there's two clubs in Wigan alone that's bringing in all of those blue chip sponsors.

I think it’s in the shape as it’s always been. Some good clubs, some sht clubs, fans who like to whinge, not enough money in the game etc etc. I’ve been hearing people predict the death of rugby league in England since 1985 lol

Everything Perth red advocates should happen in the nrl he then argues the exact opposite for super league

Eg hull kr won’t move home games to the kc stadium but sharks should move games to Allianz (further away) lol
