Hi can anyone tell me how many games you have to play to qualify for the under 20s final series. Will Josh Duggan, Jarod Croker, Daniel Vito be able to play?

It's Vidot. and I am pretty sure Josh Dugan and Jarod Croker are in-eligible already, I think you have to play more than half of the seasons games in Toyota Cup.

Vidot will be eligible though.

I think Waddell and Vidot should be eligable, Croker and Dugan certainly wont.
Which is a shame, with all 4 going back we'd be back to back premiers no doubt

^I think we'll still win. Drurie Low, Mick Picker & Hayden Hodge are the stars in that backline now and are doing an excellent job.

It's a 5 horse race between Manly, Storm, St George, Broncos and Tigers. The Raiders are in sh*t form and losing Croker and Dugan will kill their chances.

Manly should win though.

Canberra drew with manly earlier in the season (missing the last minute conversion to win).

Croker only played 1 game this season and dugan was never expected to play many games.
They are in terrible form though. Drury Low's form has gone downhill since Vidot was promoted to fg. Waddell and Vidot will be huge injections for the finals.

The reason why they aren't as much of a challenge this year is that the replacements for last seasons graduates aren't as effective.

Mark Nichols and Sam Mataora might be solid and consistent, but both lack the dominance of Fensom and Thompson. Sam Williams lacks the control and composure of Matt Smith. Mark Appleton and Mitchell Kennedy lack the workrate that Nick Skinner and Andrew Edwards provided week to week.

Last year --- this year:

1. Dugan --- Hodge (Dugan was promoted to first grade fairly early on)
2. Naughton --- Naughton
3. Vidot/Carney --- Vidot (Cullen, now that Vidot is a first grade regular)
4. Croker --- Low
5. Brophy/Low --- Ward
6. Picker --- Picker (Smart, when Picker is selected for Souths Logan)
7. Smith --- Williams
8. Skinner --- Appleton
9. Waddell --- Waddell
10. Britt --- Britt
11. Thompson --- Nichols
12. J Kennedy --- J Kennedy
13. Fensom --- Mataora

14. Dunn --- McIlwrick
15. Edwards --- M Kennedy
16. Merritt --- Merritt
17. Rheinberger/Codyre --- Rheinberger

As you can see, in most replacements, there is a loss of consistency and workrate, the most obvious ones being Fenson for Mataora, Thompson for Nichols, Skinner for Appleton, Edwards for Kennedy, and Smith for Williams. And that is no offense to Mataora, Appleton, Kennedy or Williams, it is just that the standard set by the others last year is very high.

Hayden Hodge isn't as good as Dugan but is still a freakish talent, McIlwrick offers more spark off the bench than Dunn in my opinion, and Matt Ward is having far more success than Brophy did at U20s level, but that is about it really. Canberra were bound to not do as well this year without Fenson, Croker, Thompson, Carney, Skinner, Dugan and, Smith.

Be a three way between Dragons, Storm and Manly. Each of the three will need to be at their best with each NRL player eligible to stake a claim.

Upsetters include: Broncos, Raiders, Warriors and Tigers.

I've hardly seen any under 20's game this season but based on "for and against" it looks like a 1 horse race, Manly or Manly!

Since losing their first five the Broncos have been flying under the radar all season. They have now won 12 of their last 14, which includes beating the Raiders last week.

Melbourne beat Manly (at Brookie) 28-26 in Round 8, drew with Canberra 15 all in Round 15 (at Brookie), just beat Souths 28-26 in round 22 (at brookie) and just beat the Sharks 25-24 Round 19 (Toyota park).

Despite thrashing a number of lower placed teams they have shown some good consistency. Really would like to see a Manly vs Melbourne NYC final.

i believe all four may be eligible. if they are u20 they can play, is my understanding, no eligibility rule for so many games minimum. will turn the finals on their ear if i'm right. if not, souths logan are specials for the q cup if they get any of them after nrl commitments are done!

If you are right and they are all eligable, and they play them, we wont be beaten, simple as that

i doubt you are right and even if you are, i dont think they'll all go back, Waddell and Vidot will, but i think Dugan and Croker will be given a rest
Hayden Hodge is a good replacement for Dugan anyways. Low and Vidot give us enough strike in the centres without needing Croker

From a club point of view i'd love to see it though
