According to rugby treize the head of the fru is heading to newcal with the ruwc $$$$ to try and reverse the decision of the newcals to switch to 13 .Looks like league is in for a tough few years and desperately needs a 2007 rlwc in oz .Surely the ruwc has opened the eyes of the arl.

The NCRL should play it smart, and say they will enter team in both.

Lets face it, this is only a short term move by the FRU, they wont keep it up, they are having financial problems of their own back in France.

Also ru is giving $$$$$ for the png ru7s,the pngrfl cant even finance a home international,.When is the next full meeting of the rlif,is it this month or next feb at the 7s,the 2007 oz rlwc has to be on the agenda.Apparently newcal has autonomy from paris,so government funding shouldnt be at stake unlike the situation in france.

If the RLIF aren't carefull PNG may go down the same path as France.

Exactly. And it doesn't help now that Wilshere, Bai and Lam are all in the UK, with no PNG players in the NRL. The Kina is very devalued ATM, and since the Aussie Dollar is at record highs now we should be pitching in.

How about we establish a PNGRFL fighting fund? If we all chucked in $10, that'd be a fair bit of Kina.
