Unusual nicknames

There's some quite obvious nicknames. Like Jonathon Thurston being JT (its his initials), and Trent Robinson is often shortened to Robbo. Steve Morris was known as "slippery" because he was hard to catch.

But what about the more bizarre ones? The ones that make no sense

I see Sam Moa (the Roosters prop forward) being called Samoa quite a lot. Why?

And when he was at the Dragons, Wayne Bennett was known as Saint Benny. Why was this? Saint? I don't see him in any religious way so how did he get that nickname?

Is there any other odd nicknames in our game?

I had a mate called Biscuits because he really liked biscuits, and a mste called Jonesy because his last name was Jones. Good blokes, but they're both addicted to methamphetamine now, so we rarely hang out.

I knew twin brothers many years ago, who played a different footy code, and their nicknames were:

Shark - because he wouldn't shout in a shark attack, and
Crime - because crime doesn't pay.

They were definitely identical twins, being cut from the same cloth.
