Up and Comers?

Hey ya'll.

My younger brother's a big Easts fan, and since he can't get to games (or even find decent updates on their juniors)- I thought I'd come by and ask for some details on some of your up and comers. I know about the 'big names' like Soward, Moke, and Soliola- but who else is coming through that you've all got big hopes for?

Guys like Micky Paea, Danny Williams, Frank Winterstein, Michael Lett, James Aubusson, Scott Porter and Luke Gordan all have a pretty bright career in front of them if there current form is anything to go by.

Letty is winger/fullback who could get a spot in first grade with Mini in Origin...hopefully he gets the nod ahead of Walker. Plenty of talent and will have a propserous first grade career...hopefully at the Roosters although given our depth he may have to go elsewhere.

Another one to look out for is Steve Mereidth. Tough prop with plenty of aggression. Watch out for him and Mickey Paea to become regulars next year...depending on whether or not Cayless/Flannery/Crocker go.

Goddamnitt Tommy ... i want to see ALL the players you mentioned get a crack at first grade. How good would that be ? Lett, Mickey Paea, Meredith (he'll be the next forward chosen for sure). What Tommy just said guys, is VERY spot on ... so look for them next year, or maybe even another , like meredith, will get a crack this year. God i hope so ... i truly believe our young kids are the most exciting of all the clubs. One thing about Stuart is, he aint afraid to use young talent ... neither is Wayne Bennett. the only thing that maybe hold us back is Gould ... he is NOT one for blooding youngsters and never has been. Have you got any idea how long it look for Soward to get a crack ? And yet he's got the best kicking game ive EVER seen BY FAR ... he makes Freddy look like a dill.I fear Gould big time and personally i think we should piss him off, unless he makes no further decisions on our FG team.

Two players for mine. One has just had played his second week in 1sts this year and thats Heath L'estrange. An absolute work horse and hopefully he gets the raps he deserves out that way. The second has just come back from injury in Prems and thats Shane Shackleton. He is a good kid. Can pull of some big hits too.

I played against him back in the 16's and I havent seen him for ages. He's exactly the same size now as he was back then. :|
