It looks more and more likely that there will be a sequel. Discussions regarding it will likely take place at the end of the month.

However, please understand for marketing reasons that we would be unlikely to announce or confirm a sequel before mid year at the earliest.

We have been reading the suggestions put forward on various forums and will be taking those into account when designing a possible sequel.

so does that mean there won't be a game this year
that's dissapointing.

Well if a sequel were to sell well you'd want decent improvement - and that's a bit hard for a company who have only just hit the big time to do in a year.

What would be the point of rushing out a sequel this year anyway???

Surely it'd be better to bring one out to coincide with the start of the 2005 season, with up-to-date rosters etc.

Until then, I'll happily play this version. Had some mates round, so played my first four-player game on Friday - it is so much more fun as a multi-player game.

Please please please let there be all English stadiums and Old Trafford for the Grand Final! Also a little more attention to detail regarding player appearances - not asking for much, but it would be nice if players' skin colours at least were correct! Anyway, looking forward to the sequel.

That does not in any way indicate no sequel. It simply means it is not confirmed... Sidhe could already have decided about a sequel, but they are simply not going to confirm it until mid year EARLIEST. In my mind there is no doubt they will continue the series. But we won't hear about it until mid year.

If you are referring to the SuperLeague players likenesses, the license with SuperLeague does not cover the player likenesses. We therefore can't make the players look too much like the real players.

It would have a license for each country, thereas they would not be allowed to use the teams without one. The license would have to include the use of player likeness because it would be against the law if it was not. If the license was just for England, other teams would not be allowed.

It depends on each organising body and the contracts they have with their players. The NRL license allowed for accurate player likenesses for example, because the NRL has rights over the players likeness, whereas the SuperLeague does not.
