South Sydney's Issac Luke to undergo shoulder scans

South Sydney Rabbitohs League News
Date March 22, 2014 - 12:24PM <LI class=socSponsor>

Doubt surrounds Issac Luke's availability for South Sydney's clash with Canberra next weekend after the hooker suffered a shoulder injury in Friday night's loss to Wests Tigers.
The Rabbitohs confirmed Luke would have scans on Saturday after landing awkwardly in a tackle two minutes from time in the 25-16 loss at ANZ Stadium.

Luke was clearly distressed, appearing in agony as he clutched his left shoulder after being driven into the turf in a solid tackle.
South Sydney are hopeful Greg Inglis will be fit for the Raiders clash after the star was knocked out in the fifth minute following a Tim Simona hit and as per the NRL's new concussion rules the superstar fullback didn't return to the field.
"He (Inglis) presented well at the medical session this morning (Saturday) and will be monitored during the week. The Rabbitohs are hopeful that Inglis will play against the Canberra Raiders next Sunday in round four," a South Sydney statement read.

So who replaces Luke?

The McInnes kid in U20s? Or is it too soon?

We need some zip in the back line too.

Geez this Keary injury has farmed us too.

Ok now here's a thought do you put a inexperienced hooker that hasn't played first grade, bring some up from lower grades ....to replace issac, ....or would you put a first grader who can play 80 minutes but not a hooker but a utility .... Like Ben Lowe ?

Ben Lowe should not be anywhere near the team in any form whatsoever, never mind hooker. As suggested Api and Mcinnes will need to share the role. I believe Clarke is injured.

Api is well ready for first grade imo and McInnes is quickly catching up to the expectations needed to play NRL footy, scored 2 tries yesterday in NSW Cup.

I reckon Maguire will go with Api to start and McInnes on the bench who will share game time but i think Api will get more. It will be about 50 minutes for Api and 30 for McInnes.

In saying that Maguire could pull a rabbit out of the hat and could come up with something completely unexpected.

There have been some issues with how Isaac Luke plays. Too often he doesn't make the correct decision and he seems to struggle moving the ball to the right. Could be a blessing in disguise.
