From Rugby.com.au

Aware that the Crusaders had defeated the Hurricanes in bonus-point style in the earlier match and possessed a far superior for-and-against differential, the Waratahs knew what was required to put them directly on track to hosting a home final - score a four-try win over the Aucklanders.

Yet what evolved were tactics that many will question. On two occasions during the first 20 minutes of the second half, the Waratahs opted to take easy penalty shots at goal instead of pushing for the try. It was a baffling ploy considering the Waratahs had the world to gain and were already assured a second place finish even if they lost the match.

all I can say is

I think the Hurricanes will be very happy that they'll be playing the Flowers next week (unless Bulls win by 25+)

I also think the ref screwed over NSW last night, he was terrible.
Actually, the Hurricanes were very hard done by last night also.

It would have been a close call if the Tahs had a home final with the Cantabs I will not rate the Tah's chances if they make the final in Canterbury. The Tahs will probably face the Canes in the semi who will be fired up to win and have a better chance of beating the Tahs than the Cantabs at the moment. As a Canes fan I am glade they will be travelling to Sydney rather than Canterbury.

I read that NSW rated there chances of scoring another try with 20mins to go so they took the 3 points. BIG mistake.

Agree Bayrep.

As a Canes supporter I'm glad they're playing in Sydney rather than Christchurch. Half a chance in Sydney, none in Christchurch, which is the same chance going for whoever goes to Christchurch for the semi and final.

Crusaders have got it done and dusted. Could have been a different story if someone flicked the brain switch on in the Waratahs.

I remember that match he did for Auckland v The Lions last year, worst preformance by a ref all year including several new rules he made up on the spot - thank christ Wellington hung on for the win.

Boy oh boy am I glad we're taking the Bulls.

I don't think the Canes will lose twice in two weeks vs. the same team at the same ground!

Tahs/Canes final at Aussie in a fortnight :D

Worst referee is Shaun Feldsman, I remember him penalising a Highlander for a head high tackle aganist the Reds, they showed the replay, no word of a lie it was belly button high.
