Put this in the calendar for November 2017. The track is going to be awesome.

Confirmed that it will be through the city and down into Nobbies car park area between the harbour and iconic Nobbies Beach.

They were thinking of having it in Broadmeadow around the stadium - which would have been a typical council stuff up.

The latte sipping Newcastle East hipster wankers are having a good whinge about the new street circuit around Newcastle.

The final track with a few changes from the original idea can be viewed on the Newcastle Herald website. It now heads around Newcastle beach. It was a good looking track, now its awesome.

Looks promising. For a street circuit there seems to be a lack of 90° corners which is a great thing. I only counted 3, and one of those (t2) turns into a pretty cool looking t3,4,5,6 section

Turn 2 from Watt Street onto Church street going down to Newcastle Beach is going to be great. Its a fairly steep drop. A mini dipper.

Best part of the track, will look sweet from heli shots.
Looked it up on Google Earth street view. Looks extremely tight. But think it will look amazing similar to the tight sections of the baku street circuit.

Also on google earth watts left onto church looks uphill? Might be a bit like the cutting?

Yeah looking at street view it looks off camber too, always nice to have a change from dead flat circuits.

Its not.
The straight up Watt street is a solid uphill climb from corner 1 up to corner 2. The left, corner 2 is the high point, onto church is a good drop and it will be very tight down to the beach.

If anyone is thinking of going and has some coin I think if you got a room with a beach view at Noah's Apartments you would probably be able to see that whole section from corner 2 to Zaara Street.

That was awesome. Great track. Great racing.

Mclaughlin went out of his way to lose that championship today.

Clearly. First they made him speed in pit lane, then they made him take out de Silverstro and then to top it off they made him run wide and then run Lowndes into the wall. Unbelievable.

SVG must have been speeding to catch him, SDS infringement was the right call but that last bit of bullshittery should be investigated by police because people bet on this and the category is rotten to the core with Holden bias

Idk. But if you bought if you kept it. You'll probably win the NSW Production Touring car championship quite easily next year.

You forget all about the choke with modern cars. But then you get reminded that the choke is always there.
