Vagana, the poor farger.

I bet, he is hating his shoulder right now.
At this point sharks fans are expecting him to walk out & slice the defense apart "at a time & place of his choosing".
This aint gonna happen.
He will be feeling immense pressure.
For mine, I hope his shoulder has healed & I hope he tackles well & blocks a few leaks we have below the waterline.
The breaks & tries will come later.

The experiane he brings into the side should help a great deal, but yeh I agree with you all we need to give him a couple of weeks to feel his way into the side and to get his match fitness up. At least its one positive to come our way finally

To see Vagana out on the field in Sharks colours is good enough for me this weekend.
And having him out there will be a confidence booster for the rest of the team.

IT's going to be interesting to see if Noddy puts Vagana through holes or if Vagana is going to just be standing outside Bailey who is usually hanging out in the backs

Either way, there will be the propensity for critics and fans to think that Nigel will be our saviour. I wonder how many rounds will go by before Rapes put him in at 5/8?

My tip - watch McGoldrick capitulate and not improve as many expect. I am supprised at Franze & Beattie's performances. I thought they had ticker. Saleh is supprising big yet not a handful on the wing - he's no Mellor.

Our current fullback needs to sit down and watch a bloke that was pretty good in the number 1 jumper for the Sharks a few seasons back.
His name? David Peachey - the 1999 version.

I asked before the season where did the momentum behind McGoldrick come from?
He was a fringe first grader and to expect too much more from him is silly

You're right there SS. What is Bailey doing out in the backline, I noticed that last week and again this week. He must think he's got a chance to make SOO. He stands off side just about every tackle, he's usually a good metre offside. He's picked in the team as a 2ndrow not outside centre or is he there to help McGoldie(we call him the non-tackling machine) out.

I can't believe the bagging you guys give peach.
he is playing in an underperforming developing side & he is continually one of the best week in & week out.
Lets give him a release huh, maybe to the Rabbits? Maybe Roosters? What about the Warriors or Broncos.
All you gooses would then be complaining "why did we let him go" when he comes back & blitzes like he did in 99.
When we had an established team with good combinations & understandings.

BS!!!!
Every second person here is bagging him!!
Even you in saying he is past his best, is bagging him.
Either you all have distorted views on peaches game in the past or your not watching his game now.
When the wins start happening, he will start opening up & he will start scoring.
he is without doubt one of the most gifted creative footballers in the game.
& will be be for a few more seasons yet.

spot on, Reefy!!! Peachey still has the creativity and pops up in the right spot often..the only thing he has lost a fair bit of is pace, and he wasnt super quick to start with. The bloke is like ET in that he is class at any age......

Could you imagine the dangers he would create with a preston campbell bobbing about in the backline....

oh yeah that used to happen didn't it until someone got rid of that useless additon to the team (how it breaks my heart and makes me happy at the same time to see him carvving them up for the panthers!!!)
go presto!!!

I certainly haven't bagged Peach. He's still my favourite player. In fact I predidcted him to play origin this year. That is unlikley ofcourse but not only is he not past his best, we've yet to see it! I think I enjoy it when people knock champions, because I know that the champion is about to make them wrong.

I'll probably cop a spray about Greg Bird now, which has nothing to do with the topic, but I'll just say it again. That stupid act has nothing to do with his ability.
