Remember where Wiki started. I don't watch ESL so I have no idea how he's going, but he was a big lump when at the Raiders and a move into the pack might not be an issue if he has the size and mongrel to do it. The Tigers look like they are going to need to get creative so who knows couldn't be worse than Beattie could it?

can he play prop?

(I'm serious)

How old is the volcano?

Funnily enough prop might be an ideal fit for the volcano. He was simply too big for the wing during the last test match and was found out accordingly. He would be in his mid to late 20s at a guess. 27ish?

To be honest there has been a lot of discussion in relation to the need for new players/signings. I am sure that in the following few months there will be a number of players released or wanting to be released so there are plenty of options I think comming up. One player I would be keeping tabs on is Villasanti. You cannot tell me that he is currently happy at the warriors (his form is awful) and with Price and Wiki comming to the club where is Villa going to be? Barterclub cup next year? Jamie Lyon is another. Put it this way when that kid finally wakes up and realises his mistake are Parramatta going to have enough money for him? Probably not. Manly will be broke by then. The point is chaps I don't think you should be worrying about these dutch actions happening at the moment. More movements will come out of the clubs before the season starts - Players will be released as in every season

The thing is this. We don't need to buy Tallis and Johns to be a top 8 team but we do need to buy quality which unfortunately has not been the case for the duration of the joint venture. This is where the general management step in. It should not be solely left to Sheens which unfortunately it seems it has been. To be honest we need a strong league identity to step in here and take control. Unfortunately unlike the Roosters and the Dragons we simply don't look like having any ex-players who appear to have the skills to run a league club which is unfortunate.

The second thing is the location of the club needs to be sorted. I do not after seeing this club for 4 years, believe the current situation is working. For me it is concord or re-locate to the central coast. It would be unfair on each set of supporters to move one way or the other. Why would a player move to a club that based on my limited experience of Sydney geography has dual grounds literally at least an hour away from each other. Moving to the central coast would also guarantee you Matt Orford, a premiership quality half in season 2006.

Until the structural problems at the club level are fixed this team will continue to langish down the bottom of the ladder and lose its quality players to better teams. Do you blame Joel Monahagn for moving to the Roosters. What would you do in his situation?

Nah he is a winger but he has scored 26 tries in 19 rounds and yeah he is as big as a house. Just remember hearing a while ago he was looking to come back to the NRL so yeah would be good.

with sheens saying yesterday that he will need to be a little creative in signings, this type of signing would not surprise.

wouldn't surprise to see a 165cm 89kg player signed either. :(

guess he'd be worth a look at.. he can find his way to the try line.. and before he went to the esl he was a handy player.. bit of age and maturity about him could see him improve his game..
bit it would be too much of a "step outside the square" move for management to approach him

Vainikolo stays with Bulls

Bradford winger Lesley Vainikolo has signed a new two-year contract with the Bulls.
The 23-year-old , will remain at Odsal at least until the end of the 2005 season.

The new contract also includes a 12-month option for 2006.

Vainikolo, nicknamed 'Volcano', joined the Bulls on a two-year deal at the start of 2002 from the Canberra Raiders.

"I have been very happy at the Bulls. There is a great family atmosphere at the club and they look after you both on and off the field.

"I am delighted to commit my future to the club and I am looking forward to achieving success with them over the length of my contract," he said.

He has scored 16 tries in 29 appearances, including five in this season's Powergen Challenge Cup.

Coach Brian Noble rates him highly despite the New Zealander being overlooked for the Kiwis' Great Britain tour at the end of 2002.

"Many people had things to say about him last year but there is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the world's outstanding players and he will be a great asset to us over the next few years," said Noble.

Well there goes that idea but maybe worth keeping in mind for next year.

Only other out of the box player i can think of is Brad Thorn. He would be worth looking into.

Funny, I was only thinking along these lines myself the other nite watching the Sharks/Warriors game.

Villa the gorilla is the forward we need.

Big, strong, fearless and most of all mobile.

As far as signing backs goes, most of the time, the quality backs will sign
where they will get fed quality ball, and for less money.

Wouldn't be a bad player for you blokes, but I can't say I'd like to see him at your club. If he came back to the NRL, I couldn't think it'd be anywhere else but the Raiders ;-)

Villasanti will still tart as Prop, Seuseu is going to Wigan.

Wiki and Price will be the starting props and the animal will be the interchange prop. The warriors don't need 4 props with their large numbers of big 2nd rowers therefore unless Villa pulls out a few good games before the end of season he may well find himself in the barterclub cup
