There is a very intresting article on the NRL website about the Gold Coast coming into the comp in 2006.

but a bit more immedate news is at the end of the article

Kiwi-born former Manly forward Aaron Cannings is in line for promotion to Parramatta's starting side with Origin prop Michael Vella's shoulder still not 100 per cent.

Coach Brian Smith will also make a decision on whether to play centre David Vaealiki who has an ankle injury.

The Warriors will be near full-strength although star halfback Stacey Jones and hooker PJ Marsh, on the comeback trail from a neck injury, will not play.

I'm tipping if Vaealiki drops out JUnior Langi would come in based on the bench named.

He was originally a centre. Debuted at hooker, able to play lock and five eight from what I have heard. Similar player to Vinnie Anderson and Sione Faumuina.

i noticed at the training sesions that vell and Vaealiki did not do as much as the other boys.

also noticed that wise and grothe were getting a lot of special attention with there training.

I'm glad that Hopoate or J.Stevens aren't playing for Parra or you never know what that special attention might mean. :D
