Video Capture Card

I have a graphics card, an nVidia GeForce FX 5200. I just installed the drivers for the Video Capture/TV Tuner functions successfully. Those drivers were:

nVidia WDM A/V Crossbar
nVidia WDM TVAudio Crossbar
nVidia WDM TVTuner

HOWEVER...One driver will not install, no matter what I try. I have tried to install it from the setup disk and also tried driver updates from the nVidia site but to no avail. So I threw caution to the wind and connected my pc to the TV without that driver and managed to get a picture, only it was in black and white.

Can anyone with experience in this field tell me whether the missing driver is the reason why I can only get a black and white picture? The missing driver is for nVidia WDM Video Capture (universal).

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Haven't attempted it for a while...lack of response here wasn't fuelling my enthusiasm

It's all good though, just one of those things that isn't necessary but would be way cool all the same. After all, who wouldn't want a 68 cm pc monitor? 8)

OK - I'll give it a lookover tonight when I get home from work.
Just didn't want to give you an answer if it was a moot point.

Do you have a video capture device? Sounds like a stupid question, I know - but I'm just checking. if not - that would explain the driver not loading.

We're not done though!!!

We still need to figure out why you are only in black and white.
Is that bit still true?

Eisen,

Why are you hooking it up through your TV? The ariel cable should slot stright into the back of your card and you should be able to tune from there.

You are doing well afaik to get a picture at all without the WDM Video Capture installed at all. When you try to install the driver does it find it at all or just tell you that none could be found?

P.S. from experiance TV capture cards using air attennas(sp? :? ) are just a waste of time.
