Hoping for a dry track after last week's games.
Should beat Souths but they have some talent that can break open teams.
How will DWZ jamming in defence free up their wingers?
Barnett was great for NSW, how well does he back up?

Won't be catching it live as the NRL did not consider my rep netball carnival commitments as a Dad. Peter V'landys really needs to sore that out! 😁

Beautiful day for footy.

Six again, here we go, Dallin in! A brilliant catch to open the scoring, after we win a cc against a ptb knock-on.

Kick to Dallin? Could be back. 4-0...and just like that Souths are in front, 6-4. So, Souths player slips into Capewell, head is touched, nice penalty, which they score off the back of.

Field position is key, our kick and chase guys better be on the job. Pin Souths down there and we will do well on the scoreboard.

Massive shift upfield by Souths after a try-saving tackle on Metcalf. Mitchell almost put his winger in but the young fella dropped it under pressure from Charnze.

Here we go, inside their ten, and we come up empty.

Under the bloody pump, due to a penalty given away.

Now Barnett hurt. A right-leg knee injury. He limps off (prob only medial ligament not acl) and Ford on. They're targeting Dallin with high kicks but he's up to it so far.

We look gassed. Tell-tale signs, slow back into the defensive line, hands on hips, players on haunches...now up field with an intercept! And six more...if we don't score here...intercept by Johnston! Ninety metres. We're gone.

12-4, Souths.

JACKSON FORD YOU KING.

Great grubber. Badger went all the way back to see if Roger knocked on, but no. Berry grounded it. Metcalf can hand over the goal-kicking though, that was an unacceptable miss.

12-8.

Pompey's on, he can kick. Leka stuffs up the ptb and that's another moment lost, could've been points at the end of that. We looked hot.

Then Souths lose it, we capitalise big. Try to Charnze. 14-12, us. Halftime. Metcalf nails one from the sideline.

Barnett out for the game. As I said earlier, they think it's just medial not acl.

I thought it was a tough and gritty 1st half. No mistakes from either team early in tested fitness levels. Couple of South penalties helped them out but we stuck in there

Mitchell back on. Can he stop the Warriors momentum, helped by some silly mistakes?

20-12...now 24-12, both Leka and Luke have scored.

Metcalf only 2/5 with the boot, Souths with a terrible mistake with the tryline right there. So, both sides are keeping the other in it...now Souths with another early set error.

Can we score again?...and Roger is in! 30-12. Metcalf with another great kick from outside (but he misses half his kicks too).

...and Dallin with a cheap RSVP? Here we go, buckle in...the Bunnies are back. 30-18, twenty mins left...bugger me dead, blink and it's 30-24 with years left on the clock.

200 tries is amazing tbh.

It is but hopefully he's off the boil now.

Great catch by Dallin to diffuse that Mitchell bomb. Phew.

Charnze is having a belter of a game, 25 metre kick return, then six more tackles...we pin them in the in-goal. This is good, we're pinning them back where we want them. Poor drop out by Mitchell, I think we need to score here...and do! Nice bat back by Chanel to Roger to score. Another nice sideline conversion by Metcalf.

36-24, six mins left.

Oh. No. Mitchell under the posts, 36-30, three mins 45 secs left. Souths have momentum...razzle-dazzle by Rabbs! Noooo...but Pompey saves the day! One set each now...we hold on, just. Another set and we were likely gone.

36-30, us. Final.
