For the last few years I’ve watched the Warriors hoping not for wins, but for us to put up some sort of fight and not get thrashed. Now i have to adjust my expectations even lower, and pray that we won’t have 70 put on us or get beaten by 11 players.
I don't care what anyone says. Having to play away from NZ as well as not having your real home ground for so long must have an affect on all concerned, including fans like yourselves. It hasn't been good for the game, or the team, but don't give up on them. There will be better times ahead for your team. As a lifelong Eels supporter I can sympathise with you lot. I hope your team's return home will help heal the wounds.

Well SJ took the ball to the line set 1 then run over by Taliki and disappeared rest of game.

Lodge good shot then left hand defense shirt grabbing and Asi running up getting no one and Sharks score.

Lodge drops a shit pass from Jazz at dummy half when we 10m out.

Walsh catches a old school jumping coat hanger from Kennedy who rightly gets marched for the game.
Now we have a chance, 63 mins with 12 men.
DWZ scores in the corner immediately.

Walsh makes a break from Lodge offload and a great pass after ankle tapped, Asi kicks for Vailea to score.

Katoa loses ball first set after points.
Sharks earn dropout, 6 again, high shot by a SJ, 6 again, dropout, 6 again, then score between SJ and Berry.

We can't earn a 6 again in their 10m as thry held play up and we run around like we are down the man.

Viliea puts ball down line open, Hines knocked it out, SJ kick not the best.

SJ puts ball down from another terrible Jazz pass.

I guess I'm imagining these forward passing by Sharks being missed.

Sharks earn a dropout.
Berry falls for inside runner for Sharks to score in corner. SJ had rushed up on Moylan so Berry came in. But Hines received ball on on inside/inline with decoy.
12 men just created an overlap to score.

SJ last tackle kick poor.

Aitken KO by high shoulder, more of a sendoff than the 1st tackle, but only gets 10mins. Would prefer the 1st tackle than that.

So 13 v 11.

DWZ throws away first opportunity, SJ and Katoa looking at it.
Then give away penalty inside 10m.

We have a 7 tackle set, with a strip penalty and a 6 again, Walsh called back and Murchie didn't pass to open winger and can not score against 11 because SJ grubber goes dead!!!!! When CHT back drop the princess.

Sharks with 11 men earn a repeat set.

We could not score any points against 11. We have no hope.

Berry gives away penalty, then dropout, then have a 2 man overlap to score.
6 men go to the 2 man blind side in defense. DWZ comes running in again, but had no option when Berry comes in
SJ turns in.

SJ throws to Murchie on last tackle inside our 30m. f**k off Princess.

Sharks gets pass called forward that saw them score otherwise.

Penalised for not clearing the ruck,
Hines take field goal to make it 13 point game.

Sharks go in with offloads and a forward pass to score. Viliea dropped off allowing offload, holding throat. Nikora raised elbow to throat, Lodge got done for that a week ago. Completely missed by bunkers.

Short kickoff doesn't work.
Sharks penise for pushing in scrum.
Asi knocks on a pass way out in front by Egan.

New low for this team.

The return home is just to play then leave, all players based in Australia for this year.

Thanks mate, but it runs much more deeply than that

Have never heard the amount of hate for the team matching what I’m hearing on the radio this morning
Ironically, it's the fifth anniversary of the Mother's Day Massacre at Penrith Park (up 28-6 at the break, lose 36-28).

I was there, I never got over it. Yesterday was worse, I didn't go though.

It was spectacular incompetence...

I've seem greats like Sterling manage to put together a win a man down, but that was just flat out as bad as I've seen - Cronulla are decent, we are poor, but given a big advantage like that we should win... certainly shouldn't be thrashed, the last three weeks have been horrific, we were lucky to beat a team that had forgotten how to win, and two absolute embarrassments - doesn't get much worse

It may have been nothing, but there was a moment in the game involving Walsh and Tevaga, whereby ball was lost close to Sharks line.
Walsh seems to have said something and Tevaga reacted by cocking his arm to throw the ball at the back of Walshs head.
Could be just general frustration.

Jazz is a liability. He hasn't shown any ability to control his emotions or to be able to be a solid, reliable first grader. You'll see him miss a tackle (which he does more than you'd think) and then try and fly up out of the line to nail the next one.

Good. It means people still care. The death knell for this team will be when they put in a shit house performance like that and there's nothing on the radio. That may come.

I just cannot get over how awful Shaun Johnson was. Here's a guy who has been playing in the NRL for 12 seasons now. He's been a Golden Boot, a marquee player, a guy on big coin. That game absolutely screamed out for a play maker with experience, to take the bull by the horns and make sure we made it count. He did absolutely NOTHING. Without Reece Walsh, we finish on 0. Johnson was completely absent. His defense is abysmal - and if anyone has seen him up close, he's not a small guy. He made errors a first gamer would be embarrassed by. I didn't see him barking orders, I didn't see him organising, I didn't see him do one thing well. He should be ashamed of that - if there's anyone who deserves the vitriol for that performance it isn't Nathan Brown, it isn't anyone else but Shaun Johnson.

And it's sad to say I don't expect anything else for the rest of his time here. He has lost his pace and step (injuries owing) and never developed the ability - as the greats do - to manage games and build new skills as he got older and slower. He's just never struck me as a guy who wanted to learn, to get better. Far too immune to criticism and taking lessons from those around him. His season this year has been awful, a wobbly field goal and one decent one apart.

There was no bigger fan of him and irrationally so than me at times, but I just think he's a busted arse now. Partly due to injuries but mostly due to his lack of drive to be the best.

He was mouthing off at the Sharks a real lot in the first half as well, and notably, when the game finished its very rare that you dont see a former player chat with his old team mates, our players just shook his hand.
Special K on our forum pointed something out, and this typified his game:
When we were down to 11 players NIcho was defending in the line, we played without a full back.
Johnson then proceeded to kick the ball dead.
That about summed his day up.

In his defence, the Warriors are last in the competition for yardage.

thankfully he's not supposed to be on top coin...

I never wanted him back - again, he's not our biggest problem, but that performance was laughable - obviously CHT and kodi are out, and kodi is shit - but I'd be tempted to play DWZ at fullback (although he's another I never got), and Walsh in the halves until CHT is back - f**k it, even Tohu at 6

Johnson's NRL career will be a big "what if..." - it's passed him by, imagine what someone like Craig Coleman, Tommy Raudonkis, Des Hasler etc could have done with that talent (not that they were without talent) ...

Yep. He's never been a smart footballer. Didn't grow up playing the game (touch guy) and even though he had amazing talent and skills, has never developed the ability to use them properly. Anytime he won a game for the Kiwis or Warriors, it was with individual brilliance. Never had the ability to marshall a team around, which when you play for 12 seasons in one position is ridiculous.

In fact, that's the issue with our team. Our football nous is non-existent. No idea how to play in a defensive formation and hold our space. No idea how to create plays and expose the other team's weaknesses. As you said, not able to show something as glaring as all players of the other team in the line.

We can hope all we want as fans but what we get at the moment is some weeks we try, and we beat similarly rubbish teams. Sometimes we try and aren't good enough (Roosters). Sometimes we don't try, and get absolutely hosed (Storm, Sharks, games to come v Panthers etc). We have to get used to it. We won't win a single game over a decent team, because we don't know how to play in the NRL. It's not a short-term fix either.

I think he is our biggest problem, or close to. He encompasses a lot of what is wrong with NZ Rugby League and the Warriors - and I don't mean that to be harsh, but he is. We're bringing guys through our system (SJ played 20s at our club up to his late 20s) who don't develop skills. He had an ego for a lot of that time, which we've seen from so many guys who think they're a big fish in a small pond. They don't have proper football skills, because they play in junior comps in NZ where the talent isn't up to scratch and nor is the coaching. We bring back guys to this club in their 30s (SJ, Blair) who are past it, or we bring guys over (Lodge, Walsh, Aitken) who won't stay long-term.

How many years we sign him for? A move to super league is in order, but won't happen with wife's netball.

We have signed plenty of replacements.
