So good enough for the WA Gov`t but not good enough for the NRL. Looks like everybody`s on different pages here.

It's almost like the parties have different stakes in the game. A poorly thought out Perth ends with a dead club, another black eye on the game and could shut the state off from expansion forever. For the politicians, whatever the outcome, its just fodder in the election cycle.

It will still have wa investors

Just probably not Cummins

The wa govt doesn’t care they just want the inbound tourism

It was poorly thought out to start with from PLV.

He asked for expansion tenders and rejected one of them. How is that poorly thought out?
He placed a non negotiatable onto 1 bid and failed to tell them them they would need a license fee.

His fingerprints are all over the failed bid so he needs to take responsibility for his part.

They were told a license fee would need to be paid during the tender process. Cummins was a genius and put zero thinking he had pulled a swifty. f**k he could have put $1mil or even $500k and they could be negotiating right now. Imagine the disrespect and arrogance, after you've been told that a license fee is necessary, to put a donut to the question. It's no wonder the ARLC walked way.

The non-negotiable of the Bears is based on the success of the Swans/Lions relocation to expansion areas. Again, the ARLC have a lot at stake in expanding west.

He also didn’t tell the arl during negotiations they would need Sydney investors and one of those would be someone who had been sacked by the nrl

If you think a relocation of the bears to Perth is a good idea. It's not, and this is the result. He's scrambling for new investors . LOL.
I'm sure people said the same with the Swans and Lions. Reality is, every expansion into dominant heartlands from both codes has failed, except for relocations.

Storm are not successful? LOL
Anyway hopefully Petes well thought out idea can find someone with $50mill.

I said it's questionable. Had they not been dominant for so long I wonder where they would be. Reminder they were a money sink propped up by the game for a long time, even with their success. Swans or Lions would be massively more successful with the same period of dominance.
