Nope, I’m all for a new looking Bear but seriously, that was amateur at best.Better than the ns bear that looks like it’s sat on a stick!
We call that Trump Bear.

Oh yes their original proposal, wtf was that lol.Yes there was one worse than that one. Not mine to share though.
There were a few bad ones. That 1990’s style one from the dude that flipped it on Facebook, which came across as extremely unprofessional, was pretty bad as well.Oh yes their original proposal, wtf was that lol.
that bad was it?Oh yes their original proposal, wtf was that lol.
you would imagine even if west aussie bears aren't announced before end of the year that they'll be announced before march next year when season kicks off and west aussie election is.PNG locked in for 2028… they need the extra time apparently to get shit set up
They could still make the call for Perth 2027 as late as April/May next year … although they would obviously prefer it sooner
I’ve honestly got nothing, I feel like the biggest expansion pauper out there, I have spoken to a few Bears people but it’s quiet, nobody is saying anything.that bad was it?
have you heard anything more on west aussie bears? any inside information you can share with us expansion paupers?
thats ok. we can't all have inside agents within the walls of bids and expansion offices.I’ve honestly got nothing, I feel like the biggest expansion pauper out there, I have spoken to a few Bears people but it’s quiet, nobody is saying anything.
As long as the papers keep referring to the WA Bears as team 18 I’m happy, 2027 if still being mentioned I’m happy even 2028.
Imagine both the WA Bears and PNG coming in the same year ?.
Is this from your insider source who seems to always be conveniently late to the party in telling you things? All keeping quiet at moment. No update on if the ‘lot of hurdles to jump yet’ have been jumped.
You’re hilariousIs this from your insider source who seems to always be conveniently late to the party in telling you things?
does he communicate in morse code ?
He’s just telling the truthYou’re hilarious
Are you the full quid? I know you're striving to be the bestest rugby league fan eva but this is just nonsense.Perth have two weeks to sort things out
Early next year the focus will be on Vegas
There’s no need to drag it out any longer the wa govt should just get it done now
Plus the wa election could mean the govt goes into caretaker mode and doesn’t do any more deals
If it’s dragging out so long then the wa govt just don’t want to get it done since most of the crucial points have all been agreed too
You may be right if it is for WA to have a team for 2027, who knows ?.Perth have two weeks to sort things out

There is going to be considerably more input about brand and IP protection from Norths than when the WA consortium were bidding.any issue from west aussie patrons in here that now that nrl are controllers of a west Aussie nrl team that the bears will have significantly more say in their brand etc? I doubt they’ll have a say in how the club is operated though etc.
You clearly dont understand the process of govt lolPerth have two weeks to sort things out

Like I’ve always said it needs to respect the heritage of NS but represent that this is a new west Australian club.any issue from west aussie patrons in here that now that nrl are controllers of a west Aussie nrl team that the bears will have significantly more say in their brand etc? dont think anyone is disputing thatLike I’ve always said it needs to respect the heritage of NS but represent that this is a new west Australian club.
ah awesome update. pretty much how it should be. can't have people butchering brands just because plus the location is the crux here and will be well served i thinkThere is going to be considerably more input about brand and IP protection from Norths than when the WA consortium were bidding.
But yes, all operational decisions will be up to whoever sits on the elected board (reporting directly to NRL). Norths won’t have a say in any day to day decisions and nor should they really.
There will be strong WA representation (picked with NRL and WA Gov’s discretion) and whoever those individuals are they won’t be from the previous WA consortium, those people are all gone.
So yes, Bears have big say in brand but that’s all it’ll be. Hope that answers your question.
