Grassroots funding of around 120 million pa also which wasn’t being provided before
Which they have turned down lol They counter offered with matched grassroots funding based on what NRl would put in.

'Those talks have already hit a barrier. WA government and rugby league sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations, who requested anonymity to speak freely, said the NRL had asked for approximately $12 million in annual funding for the next decade.
Sources said the NRL’s request was rejected earlier this month and a task force, led by WA treasury officials, had now been established to negotiate with the NRL.
The WA government confirmed it had rejected the NRL’s initial funding request but would not discuss the figure proposed by the rugby league body. It is still offering to upgrade HBF Stadium and build a high-performance facility.'

Sounds like Pvl got everything he asked for tbh
which is what?

He didnt get the $120mill grass roots funding and the license fee payment is still debatable. WA Govt are holding NRL accountable by offering matched funding for grassroots which is fair.
As they said " WA government insiders say it has no interest in pouring tens of millions of dollars of taxpayer money into what amounts to a “subsidy” for the NRL "

More recent articles saying opposite.

The fact is, the ball is in the WA Government’s court. If the team doesn’t get up, there is only the WA Government to blame.

it’s a huge win for Pvl

He’s got a lot more money out of the wa govt

And any investment in grassroots can easily be justified in terms of anti obesity or health programs

The extra money over the Cummins bid is closer to 200 million

On top of png getting 750 million from governments

It’s a shame rugby league has had a decent leader in 30 years so much time has been wasted

another telling contribution from the village idiot
You seem to be the only idiot around here, no Vicky kicky to fawn over? It's as if you want NRL to fail at everything they attempt, maybe playing ball with the arlc next time instead of wasting everyone's time, should be the way to go next time

Pirates= nope
Grassroots= zip
Fear of the Bears ownership= nada
Not paying a Licence fee= zero
Seems all your propaganda points are refuted everytime, and that's just the WA soapbox stuff

So - further new comments today from PVL…

”we’ve got a really good relationship with the Premier, a rugby league fanatic, a pleasure to deal with and a really good guy”..

”the expansion is in the hand of the West Australian Governement …we have made them aware about what our requirements are

They’ve never shown any concerns about the requirements, they’ve been very positive about what we have said .if that all translates into a deal I think it will be done shortly “…

Sounds like PVL has listed his demands to Cook …and just waiting WA to accept them…

He has a bit of front about him …compare him to mealy mouthed David Gallop

Also appears someone asked him about the Cumins bid status …”in the dustbin “ he said …. Carries a bit of a grudge …
I told you, these guys were insulted, especially when other bids, like easts tigers, wanted to pay them bribe money, and WA were adamant to not give the greedy existing any money.... these clubs ARE the comp, they set the terms, if you want in you gotta pay them, to be one of them

It looks all promising. Too many knobs on here making out that the 2 parties are butting heads and trying to rip the other off.

No I'm talking about the NRL and the WA govt. Posts like it will be someones fault if it doesn't go ahead, NRL asking too much, WA being miserly.
It's only you and red continually talking about cumins for some weird f**ked up reason
