Yeah ...which part?....or was that just a sarcastic comment ?
I just thought u were too much a Lui lover to actually bag him for having a bad game thats all.
I do agree with your comment with regard to Farah and Lawry playing for Aus by the way .

Wade has got to go. Was atrocious out there. Lacks a key ingredient in speed.

Fulton, KG and Lui were very ordinary too. Lawrence is far from a Rep player. Overrated. Needs to work on his step.

This is why we need a new coach. These players get complacent. Job for life. I dont give a f**k if half the team walks if that farkwit of a coach leaves. How many years do we have to put up with softc#%k performances.

Soft side coached by a softc#%k.
Mackinnon needs to be given a few weeks He is coming back from chronic hamstrring issues and if he does it again his career is over in NRL If he plays like a busted for next 2 weeks dump him But at least give him a chance to get some confidence back . We have a few players with chronic injuries Ellis with groin ,Payten with knees \calf , even Bryce with his knees Do we get rid of all of them ???

The other guys have shown us what they can do - McKinnon has not played well for us since we bought him. If he needs to get his form back, maybe lower grades is the place.

Oh, it's Farah's test spot, is it ?

And where would you put C. Smith?

YES IT IS FARAH TEST SPOT!!!!

Sheens picked him in the squad, so that makes it farahs test spot....

When did I say he was first choice ahead of smith??

You said Farah only got picked cause of Sheens, so If you leave Farah out of the squad who are you gunna bring in ??

Having not seen the game, other than the highlights, which showed Lote standing way too far infield for one try and our scrambling defence for Morris' try looked haggered and in slow motion. I know Morris is quick, but he's not twice as quick as all of our players.

Benji's try was good to see.

As echoed earlier in this thread, i wouldn't be looking at changes in the first 4 weeks.

If form doesn't improve then make changes.

And Mullaney's goalkicking is only 2-3% higher than Benji's. People have to drop that argument.

Utai shouldn't be anywhere near this side, Brown should be on the wing.

I think after one game its a bit early to make wholesale changes, but the team didn't look ready to play, the forwards in general were slow & not sure what was going on with Robbie? Benji didn't look right for big periods of the game & his goal kicking remains our biggest worry (IMO), who else is there? I do like Tim Moltzen (does he kick?), we need to get him on the park somehow, somewhere.

I thought we looked sh*t apart from Fifita, Ayshford and that rookie Woods debut was good. Are we the bulldogs of 2010? High expectations but piss poor results. f**k i hope not

Lui was one of the best in a bad bunch on Friday night - barely call it a bad game. He looked dangerous on several occassions.

Madunit, Every time I look at Lote he is standing too far infield.
Apart from the doggies bro game, the 2 that stand out in my mind were the rooters, and the dragqueens semi's games last year.
Huh . . the last 2 proper games. See the pattern ?

I agree with you that we don't need to go and change too much for now. We played much better in the foundation cup, so at least that's something positive.
My biggest disappointment was Lui. He showed such improvement in the foundation cup . . and it all washed away with Monday's effort.
Oh well . . . it was only the first week.
Let's not fall into the same trap as the dragons fans for the last 10 years . . . pre-comp guaranteed to win/make the top 3. . . February Premiers

Id give Wade 1 or 2 more weeks to get it together before ditching him for Moltz or Jake....but Utai, he offered nothing on the wing and was pretty dismal when he did run the ball.
Heres hoping Brown is back soon.
And we definately need to do something about our goalkicking.

The problem with this is it doesnt take into consideration that in a lot of these games instead of being down by 6 or 8 we could have been down by only 4. Or like Monday night, instead of being behind on the board we would have been tied. Im sure this has a huge mental impact on the team & turns potential wins into losses.

That is true- maybe it applied to 2009- but in 2010 our losses kicking wasn't a big factor- maybe round 20 and 22 ..but in the others he either kicked em all, or we got smashed, even round 8 v roortes we lost by 4, but they scored 2 trys to one.....

But your point is totally true it turns momentum when you kick from the sideline - or miss from either side of the post...

Agree. Woods and Fafita looked the best.

I'm not a Lui lover, nor a hater. I actually prefer Moltz because he is more consistant. You have to cut kids some slack at times. Some take longer to develop.

Wade has to go. He reminds me of Hodgo when he came back from injury. Farkwit kept on persisting with him hoping he'd come good which he never did and his selection cost us. Hodgo wasnt the same. We can't afford for Wade to "hopefully" get fit and get his speed back in First Grade. Put him in the lower grades.

Sheens is a farkwit.

I'd give him (wade) another few weeks, but interestingly Benji said on the footy show he thought Moltzens best spot was Fullback

I agree with the general comment that goal conversions can matter at different times to teams, & benji is killing us on that. We can't just rely on scoring more trys than the others (including their conversions). BTW, what would you consider a good kickers % over a season to be? The above looks like about 80%?

yeah you gotta be averaging around 80% IMO....70 % is ok for a back up kicker and Benji isn't even getting that...
