Wagon must NOT be captain

I know he is Brian's favourite BUT he cannot be the captain while Cayless faces 11 weeks on the sideline!!!! From memory i don't remember winning with Wagon as captain, i have seen us win with Vella a few times, actually i think Vella plays 5 times better when he is leading us.......Hodgo did well the few times he was custodian as well.

I think i would like to see Hindmarsh given the chance because if even half of captaining is about setting examples then Hindmarsh always sets the standard for the league IMO.

Although i am sure we will see Wagon or Dykes i am living in hope that we see Hindmarsh although i would accept Vella.......

I'd say the son in law is the favourite.

I like Dykes or Hindy

I think Vella cause the captaincy tends to improve his game and he is said to be a real talker in the team. Hindmarsh as VC.

Wagon will be captain and deserves to be. fair enough he may not be playing great as a 5/8 but he has been one of our best this year in terms of workrate.

I'm talking 1st grade captain, what is his record?????

He may be playing well, i'll give him credit for playing great at lock, he has a great defensive rate. I think has been having his best year for a while, the problem is not wagon, it is the 2 lock strategy that the "Super Coach" persists with!!!!!

As a captain though i question because his record is bad........Vella's is much better, we see the Vella of old come out of the woodwork when he is the captain, he has a good relationship with the rest of the players......

Wagon will most likely be captain. Not sure I agree though, A player like Hindmarsh could show something through his enthusiasm every week.

Hindmarsh does not need the extra burden of being captain. Surely he does enough already!!
Wagon will be captain with out a doubt, and good luck to him he is going to need it!

Vella or Hindmarsh. Theyre the most experienced Parramatta players at the moment. John Morris wouldnt be a bad option, he's a smart footballer reads the play well and is a good organiser, but I dont think he'll get the nod.

i reckon it would be out of Vella, Hindmarsh, Burt, or Wagon

but Wagon will get it :x , i'd rather Vella be captain as he plays better when he is

My preference would be Vella for the reasons mentioned above, but I don't have a problem with Wagon as captain. For whatever reason, he has a great amount of respect from his team mates (voted Parra's player's player last year) and I believe it's very important for a captain to have the respect of his players.

I remember when Vella was captain of the 2002 semi against Brisbane up at ANZ.

From what i saw before i got turfed out ( ) he lifted and had his biggest game of the year.

Burty captained our basically reserve grade side against a full strength Manly team in the 2003 trial up at Ballina (I think.....) and he had a great game and we smashed em!

Wagon is a well respected player by both players and officials, and he has a lot of experience.

Morris or Dykes are playmakers and as such used to taking control of a team, both are smart footballers as well.

But I'd go for Vella, just to see him rise to the level weall know he can play at.
