No form needed :D

Rendzina to win on her way to Oaks glory :D

Basically the Oaks field here apart from Miss Finland (maybe) and Sefrah. Most of the main hopes drew poorly. Meanwhile my filly drew perfectly :D

Rendzina (8)! Well she ran a strong 600m coming from 12th at the 400m to finish second last start on a track that was favouring the lead horses. Start before that in the Flight Stakes when beaten 4.4l by Cheeky Choice she was 19th at the 400m and worked home well for 10th. Couple of nice runs putting the writing on the wall for something to come. Hopefully its the Oaks. Drawn 5 in this though and the main chances drawn poorly, she'll go close in this. Probably needs to if she's going to win the Oaks. Testa Rossa doesn't throw that many stayers, but Rendzina is out of an Octagonal mare so I think she'll stay the Oaks trip.

Liked the run of Ulfah (5) in the Norman Robinson against the boys. Came home well to finish second behind Get Square. Good form for this.

Also think Swissac (10) will be hard to beat. She's racing like she wants this trip and with Bart as the trainer you'd think she'll be thereabouts in this.

Giving Cheeky Choice (1) a chance to run a place here depsite the draw. If Bowman can get her across and take a sit up near the lead she may give them something to catch.

Anamato (4) another one drawn poorly. She's been working home nicely and looking for a good run from her.

I think Juste Momente (6) can also run well at odds. Looks to be wanting more ground. The 2 runs prior to her 7th in the Guineas were handy and the step up to 2000m may be what she needs.

Yes I know I've left out the Oaks fav (Tuesday Joy). Taking her on for a couple of reasons... First go in Melbourne. Drawn barrier 19. Gai in Melbourne. Not completely rating the form behind Teranaba from her last start. For mine there's enough question marks to pot her. Having said all that, she'll probably win by 5.

ULFAH looks a pretty good bet here to me. she's drawn much better than most of the big hopes, she's trained and ridden by the best combo in Oz, she finished in front of most of the boys last start. she'll love Flemington even more and at $5.50 looks good value

chances to TUESDAY JOY and SWISSAC

tuesday joy for mine but doubt she'll be good odds. was a certainty beat last start and flemington should suit her.

But beat home the best Sydney 3yo stayer (Mearas). I think that is pretty decent form.

However, the break between runs must be a big query for her today. I think she will run strongly without winning but will win on Thursday

To be fair to Mearas though, he drew 16 that day and went straight to last. Had he drawn a barrier he'd have killed that field.

Absolutely - he also suffered the same interference as TJ. But Tuesday Joys run was also a cracker. On that form I rate her the best of these but is a run short for today I feel

Great ride too from Beasley. She'll be hard to be on Thursday.

Be interesting to see how many drop out after that. From the races I've seen and heard today the winners have been near the inside. Hoping down the middle is no good :D But the winner was too good.
