(Had the pleasure of briefly meeting this gentleman when i attended a function at Huddersfield on the eve of the England v Ireland game last year. Think i may have been the only Aussie in the room !)

Wales are such a shame.

15 years ago when they had a Super League side they were producing more than the odd talented home grown player. Guys like Lloyd White, Flower, Dudson and the Evans brothers.

Teams like Salford and St Helens were bringing lots of young guys up through their system too and it looked promising, i think most of them returned to Rugby or kicked around in the Champs for a few years.

When they made the Four Nations i watched their New Zealand game packed in a Cardiff pub and every big screen was showing the league.

If SL had the money then a Welsh side would be a no brainer. Just go raiding union Welsh schoolboys for talent.
Be good to see academy sides in Wales and London independent of clubs and managed by SL.
