Chris and Kate call it a day
February 10, 2005
HOME and Away's Kate Ritchie and Roosters' star Chris Walker have become Sydney's latest star couple to end up at splitsville.
After more than four years together, the Summer Bay veteran and bad boy of league have called it quits.
While rumours of a break-up have circulated throughout their relationship and Ritchie as recently as two weeks ago denied any split Confidential hears Walker is now telling friends they are no longer a couple.
The break-up was a hot topic of chatter on Tuesday night at the swanky opening of posh new Bondi Junction bar The Eastern where Walker, propped by his Rooster buddies Craig Wing and Anthony Minichiello, appeared to be enjoying the attention of a bevvy of Eastern Suburbs glamour girls.
Of equal surprise was that the Roosters, who have supposedly sworn themselves off the booze during pre-season training, were partying it up at all.
Walker's league-playing brother Shane yesterday told Confidential the break-up was news to him, before adding that his brother didn't want to talk about it.
Ritchie was not available for comment.
