Waratahs/Blues Trial Game

Just sat there for two hours in the rain only to watch the Tahs get pummled. Aside from Whitaker and Waugh, they were average.

For the Blues, just about everyone had blinders, especiallly Howlett, who for some reason the Tahs kept kicking the ball to!

What is it with the Aussie jurnos who write the match reviews?

First it was the 7's triumph, and then again after the Blues win. They keep refering back to the World Cup, and how Kiwi fans are taking any win as some sort of medication for the loss.

You really have to wonder if these guys remember, that they lost the final, have no S12 FTA TV coverage, played pretty much crap all last year, and that their trophy cabinet is empty.

It does seem the Blues are ready for another good year.

I agree with your first point about the WC but your trophy cabinet may have a couple of trophies in it at the present time but it was pretty empty for a few years before now.

I was hoping for a great season from the Tah's but looking at last nights result, it looks like we could be in for a long season. WE NEED A FLYHALF!!!!!!!

You can never take pre-season games to seriously as the results tend to do a 180 during the season. I.e the Canes kicked ACT's butt last weekend but I wouldnt normaly rate them against ACT. Also teams play with a different team in each half to give everyone a game and not show to much of their hand before the season starts.

Glad the Reds have had a confidence builder as they need all the confidence they can get.

Its not quite that cold, But the Queenslanders might find it abit colder though.
Iam quite confident that we can win, We have a great forward pack and a good young backline.

Invercargill's probably the perfect place to play rugby this time of year, a temperature in the high teens or low 20s wouldn't bother either side I'd think.
As for the Blues/Tahs game, just too much firepower in that Blues backline, Howlett in particular.

No worries mate, I have a Wellington supporter in my office and we were always giving each-other crap last year so it was hard to forget ;-)
