Did anyone else hear Ryans remarks during the last 2 games that CA had done himself a big favour by getting himself sacked.

What an insult - I was ropable and sent an SMS to Grandstand but it was not addressed.

Considering that CA dug the hole that we now find ourselves in I thought this comment was ridiculous. Particularly coming from such a respected commentator.

Anderson is Ryans biggest disciple.
He & shifty were the ones who named him opes.

He's a bitter, beligerant old man & always has been.

I reckon he's usually pretty fair to us.

But he seems keen to take the piss out of us fans at present.

I've been stewing over these comments for a couple of weeks now.

Feel much better now that I've got it out.

Well now I can see where his remarks are coming from.

Can't believe the Mcshark doesn't know that one!

Showing your forum youth there, as we have answered that one on all of the other forums long before he even took the reigns at the Sharks.

As a player they referred to him as "opes" because of his laid back attitude & demeanour & vagueness(figure that out)
Anyway, Opes is for Opium, which is, a slow working dope.

My forum youth huh?

Or are you forgetting that I was on the other side of the world for most of the last 2 years without much access to the internet?

That's right, Blue Mazda. Warren Ryan played for St.George in the centres in the mid 60's in Reserve Grade. He switched to Cronulla when we entered the comp and played first grade for us in our first two years.
An interesting point from the 1980's tussles between Canterbury and Parramatta. Both coaches, Warren Ryan and John Monie, were ex-Sharkies from our formative years.

Sounds like a name for a good movie. Did you have a battle with a French pirate ship, visit the Galapagos Isalnds? McSharkie the curse of the Black pearl.

The large majority of journos are sticking the boot into the Sharks.

I reckon we could use a bit of Wokka Ryan's coaching football brains now to help us instead of just criticise. Consultant role like goose with the goosters.

Yes he's hard in his comments, exactly what we deserve right now IMO.

I did have a fair bit to do with Pirates actually. Lots of them in the Northern Arabian Gulf.
