Can score a rugby league try. Granted last night's CC match was against a C1 side, but to score 112 points is quite some feat. Swinton were on a 10 game winning streak I believe, or something similar after all.

Of their last 8 victories in all competitions they have scored: 82, 24, 64, 60, 58, 80, 62, 112. That is 542 points in 8 games for an average of 68. I've never seen anything like it. Can anyone recall another team scoring points at a rate like this? I'm in my mid-20's so it might of happened at other times, but I just can't believe the scores they keep racking up.

It's quite a feat alright.Did it ever enter your mind, that they may have fielded a second string side because they knew they didn't stand a chance.Far better to concentrate on promotion.

The thought did enter my mind, but then again Warrington didn't play Hodgson, Anderson, Myler, Harrison, Higham or Wood. Are you telling me that Swinton played a reserve side? That wasn't the impression that I got from reading the match reports.

I can't understand why Warrington fielded such a strong team, despite the players SSTID naming being out. This was an opportunity to give a few of their young kids a run out in the first team against opposition they will easily beat regardless of who's in the Wolves colours. Allegedly the SLE is getting stronger by the year and the chance to blood the kids is not often presented outside of a SLE match. This was one of those occasions and Warrington decided to flex their muscles and give Swinton a hiding. Bully for them.

You forgot the 10 they scored against Hull. Oh no, they lost that one didn't they? ;-)

Play a reserve team? Why? Don't want to hurt there poor manc feelings? Its a cup match. As soon as super league teams just field reserve players the cup gets relegated to non-entity and Warrington would be criticised for it.

112 against Swinton, 60 vs Salford (at there place) none conceded. :D

Manchester sport is ace though. Win a few medals in the football and they think there gods gift. ;-)

It became a nonentity once the SL teams went full time. It's now a 4 or 5 team competition as no one else really has a chance of winning it. Unfortunately it's the same old suspects most years. The CC loses something every year although I doubt you'll agree Wireman seeing as you've won it for the last two years.

TK on the 'Big Sports Breakfast' on Sky Sports radio was laughing at the standard of Super League this morning. Using this match as an example.
I have sent him an email correcting that mistake. I suggested this game could be more fairly compared to Manly Sea Eagles Vs Asquith Magpies. I hope he will retract tomorrow.... but I doubt it.

It doesn't lose anything if your a mid to lower placed team and its your only chance of silverwear.

Saying that now i would not be as happy if we won the challenge cup but bombed out of the playoffs again. 2 years ago, beating the giants was my favorite day ever in rugby.

Problem is the grand final is seen as the big final now. They should move the challenge cup final to earlier in the season. Give it its own exclusive weekend.

Redvee. Sky sports breakfast should obviously be ignored. Bunch of no nothings. Just watched Eels vs Sharks. That was not exactly top level stuff either. :D
