If Kearney is the new coach, it has been in the works for a long time. Traitorous bastard.

SK is rumoured to be their assistant coach next year.

Odd situation if it happens that way, assistant at the club and head coach at national level.

Kearney had better learnt to adapt by then.

He's gone from the Storm, the most structured team in the comp, and tried to pretty much force that on us and now he's going to the team that plays best with no structure and will probably try the same shit.

Good luck to them.

I guess they're lucky he's not going to have as much influence on them seeing as he'll only be assistant coach.

Was like that when he was at the storm. Surely they're not seriously considering him for the head coaching gig.

not really, he didn't coach Australia when he was an assistant coach to an Australian team which was my point

That's about all a sensible club would hire him as, based upon his NRL record.

However that role would be a great fit for his NZ national duties, allowing Kearney time off whenever needed to focus on his team development, selection and preparation. I hope the move across the ditch goes well for the guy.

i would give him a run as a reggies coach just to let him get used to the week to week grind of coaching a team without the spotlight on him
