Warriors v Tigers DVD

I've been enjoying going back through the forum and reliving the past, both good (Warriors finals run 2011) and bad (plenty of that). I was wondering if anyone had a burned copy of the complete broadcast of Warriors v Tigers SFS 16/9/11? (I set the recorder but it taped a fuzzy SBS instead).

Youtube only has the Inu try which is just a taste of that whole night's events and I want more, a lot more!

My brother refused to go with me cause he said 'he couldn't bare to be around the gloating Tigers fans' (and they were gloating up to a point) so I went on my own. The first half I sat down by the Warriors end and it was pretty quiet and depressing there.

In the second stanza however, I switched ends to Kiwi Corner - the Tino Rangitiratanga flag was still waving proudly and I thought something might still be up for us.

Anyway, the rest is history and I'd like a momento. One of the few games of football I could watch again from the introductions to the final wrap up.

One game I would like on DVD is the playoff game VS Melbourne in 2008. Damn that was awesome.

Jeez, how good is this forum? I haven't got any of those games. I'll see myself on tv in both the Sydney games!

I'm at:

The weather's packed in again, so I can easily sit in front of the TV and relive the finals '11 (no need for the Broncos game though!)

No worries mate im in sydney, give us a week or 2 to sort it out and ill PM u when its done

Nothing to do with me, but you're a legend mate.

I purchased a best of the Warriors DVD a while back which featured most of the good stuff from their debut season up till about 2005. Full games are pretty hard to find, although nrl.com has a huge archive all there on demand.

The whole game is up on youtube right now. Enjoy it while it's there! It gets better with age.

Just bumping this.

R & S sent me the famous Warriors v Storm final 2011 which I re-live at least once a year. Onya champ.

Does anyone have the TV broadcast of the Tigers final from that same year?

It's a biggie for me, I was there! Things are terrible now too, so if we're expected to 'keep the faith' then it's vital we have something tangible in front of us to remind us of when things were...bloody awesome.

Is that the Warriors v Tigers semi ?

Yeah, my favourite of all time. I'd love the whole TV broadcast, including celebrations and post-match.

We showed so much heart to comeback, not only from the shellacking by Brisbane the week before but from the first half when it was all Tigers.

I'll need this over summer in case Kearney's still coaching in '18. I'll need that old feeling back, if I'm going to be a committed fan in '18.

Unfortunately, this forum was 'down' during the game back then (Tigers semi) so there's no game day thread to re-live.

My old man and old lady went to bed disgusted at half-time and didn't find out the result until they got their Ch.Ch Press delivered in the morning.

'Warriors Burn Bright Over Tigers, late try seals memorable win...'

That's a reference to that 'Tiger, tiger, burning bright' poem.

Dad: "Shit, Sally, they won!"
Mum: "Oh no! We missed it!"

At lunchtime they got a phone call from Sydney...

Mum: "Hello?"
Me: "Don't ever count the Warriors out!"
Mum: "Oh, it's just incredible!..."
