As long as they support the whole team and not bag out players ... what does it matter? I don't have a problem with them at all for quite a few reasons and one being it is a much better environment and atmosphere going to a full stadium than an empty one ... as long as they don't take my seat! ;-) But then they would have to get there early to do that.

Izzo you (i am assuming here by your banner at the bottom of your post) would have to agree on the crowd atmosphere ... when Souths came back into the comp you guys were getting quite a large crowd but they have diminished and myself having supported the panthers during the year they got the wooden spoon & superleague years and having gone to games where you could just about physically count the supporters yourself, i definately know which i prefer even if i have to run for my seat on the opening of the gates.

Another reason is the merchandise they will pay for during their times of supporting. If they are silly enough to support only the winning teams, they are silly enough to buy up on merchandise each time to get themselves completely wrapped up in the moment of it all and all this helps my team (when they support it) in the long run.

I'm for real.

I've been a Panthers supporter for around 10 years now, and I have never waivered or even contemplated supporting another team, especially in the lean years (e.g. 2001).

But yeah, every club tends to have its element of "glory hunters". It's unavoidable really.

Is that why our membership is up again and are you suggesting our club crowds will drop - it may have something to do with the brand of football offerred by the clubs... Your crowds will be better and ours will remain the same- because we are still one of the strongest sides in the competiton..as you guys are

If the rorters have a couple of bad years, their supporter base will drop significantly. That is because most of them are yuppies, who are shallow people. With rorters supporters, it is all about appearances. Most of them probably started supporting the team because of the pretty tri coloured jersey.

You'll find there will be "Bandwagoners".

What about the people that were born and raised out west that don't have a great deal of interest in RL, until a spark, like a GF win, and all the promotions and parades, get them into their local team.

Its a good opportunity for the marketing gurus at the Panthers to drum up more local interest, and up goes next years memebrship.

Nothing suceeds like sucess.

When the panferrs have a couple of bad years, their supporter base will drop significantly, as we saw in the last few years. That is because most of them are westies, who are ugly people. With panferrs supporters, it is all about appearances. Most of them probably started supporting the team because of the ugly poo-brown coloured jersey.

How good was that??
How is the sense of humour going, baby??
Will the ego hold up??

Ironic lance started this with his illasox and stain and merged loyalty.
Irony + illasox + lance = bandwagonbiarchslappinbrowneyedstain fan.
