Just announced now on Nine News in Australia.

Quoted as Wayne Bennett informing South Sydney and Sam Burgess that he should 'take a rest'. I imagine this has much to do with the 'sexting scandal'. Pretty disappointing. Might affect ticket sales for the Autumn series (hey how are those things going anyway?).

On the plus side, maybe Wayne's approach is to blood new players with an eye to the 2021 RLWC?

A quick google doesn’t show anything about Sam recently other than his selection and the sexting scandal.
I’m not sure how far along his mrs is, perhaps that has something to do with it?
