Says over here that he will be leaving the Broncos at the end of the season and is lined up to take over Daniel Andersons job at the World Club Champions - St Helens!

It's rumoured that Daniel wants to return to the NRL next season - leaving a year early from his contract.

Hopefully we can do a straight swap. IMO Brisbane need a fresh start and I always thought that Bennett should have retired with Webcke last season. Anderson would a good replacement.

You wait though- the Broncos will string more than one win together and they'll want to sign him for the next 10 years.

Bellamy wont go anywhere, look what he's built down there, Storm are flying high, cant see him leaving that to coach the Donkeys

When the most successful coach in the history of the game leaves Brisbane, the broncos will turn back into toads.

I expect that Bellamy is enjoying his success far too much to leave the Storm any earlier than he has to.

Probally not but some fresh ideas is what Brisbane need. We have been playing this boring crap football for a while- yes we won the comp last year but we still played boring crap footy that has absolutely no points in the attack. At least Daniel Anderson's sides have been attacking!

i'd much prefer to win a premiership playing boring "crap" football than miss the finals trying to play a style of football that isn't suited to the team.

i think you'll find most teams are playing ordinary at the moment. it is a result of the diluted player stocks left at every club - largely attributed to the salary cap.

And the intro of the 16th team.
But hey, some of you want even more teams. The game can really only handle 14 teams.

Both Bennett and Bellamy are set to finish their countracts at the end of 2008 aren't they? I think it's set up nicely for Bellamy to be the successor. I don't have any doubts that Bellamy would want to come back and coach here, whether he would want to walk away from the Storm that he has built up without a premiership is another thing. Melbourne winning the comp either this year or next year may not be such a bad thing for the Broncos.

Brisbane struggle - Bennett is obviously tired, jaded, out of ideas and we should pention him off to retirementville or over to the UK where he would improve their game ten fold.

Same thing has been happening for the last 10 years.

When Brisbane turn it on, he is once again heralded as the "great man" by his detractors.

I think it it common knowledge he is out of Brisbane at the end of the 2009 season.

Bennett won't suit St Helen's ... He is pre-occupied with looking after the welfare of his players lives rather than teaching them to set up for a field goal

Oink !

Id love for the Dragons to throw a couple million at him and get him for next season. Ive dreamed about seeing what he could accomplish with the perenial 'under-achievers'.

Equally most successful coach.

SL does not count.

If all our quality players didnt go over to ESL or to Rugby we'd have the quality in depth. Lift cap restrictions.
