Let’s be honest, NZ have done better than expected up until this point. But they will make up the numbers in the semis. We are Williamson and Boult, Taylor and Neesham, and a bunch of glaring weaknesses

Astonishing that Munro is still playing, he's just a terrible cricketer

Not sure NZ are a lock just yet for the semis

If kiwis lose their final 2 matches (India, Australia) Bangers and Pakistan can get them on NRR, Also SL can over take them. Seems unlikely at this stage , but definitely options that could happen. Poms losing another game will help the kiwis though

India aside I think all the teams have glaring weaknesses

Not sure why they're banging on about Sodhi, he's as useless as Zampa

We can't continue to be two for f**k all. Munro has never done anything and have to hope that Guptill goes on a tear (which is how he rolls)

In some ways, this match was a must win for NZ. Now they'll have to beat either Australia or England to be guaranteed a spot.

I think we're pretty safe. It would require an odd sequence of events to miss out.

Pakistan and Bangladesh play each other so one will cancel out the other.

If Bangladesh win they also have to draw level with us by beating India.

England must beat us and India to overtake us otherwise they're more at risk than us.

In the event that Pakistan win their last two, England win their last two and we lose our last two, the wins/losses for us and Pakistan would need to be substantial to swing the NRR.

Sri Lanka could be a wild card, but they would also need to beat India and if India lose to England, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh then it'll again come down to NRR where we have an edge.

We're 90% safe, but this is sport so you never want to leave it to chance.

Kiwis have Australia & England, they had their washout against India.

Kiwis are going to have to get absolutely smashed by Australia and England though for NRR purposes.

Big brother Australia probably will rest their guns on Saturday to help little bro out.

The first paragraph yes.

The second not so much. I remember being a vibrant young 10 year old lad who was absolutely captivated by what was going on. And then Inzamam breaks our hearts with an innings that barely ever happened back in the day.

Yep, Inzamam's innings after Pakistan needed 123 off the last 15 overs was unforgettable! Have highlights of the game on DVD, must watch it again soon!
