We can attack, but our defence needs work.

Fantastic result tonight, but as the score line will show, we need to work on our defence.

We showed we can beat the top teams, but if we are to be a top team, our defence needs to be better than it has been over the last three weeks.

We are getting better, but there is more work to be done.

You're not wrong there, brother.
Roosters will belt the crap out of us if we continue to be like fairy floss close to the line. Ball handling was a lot better tonight. Whats the story with Cannings injury? He's not back to Wee Waa too I hope.

Some silly penalties nearly cost us too. The count was pretty even in the end but we need to clean up the dumb ruck penalties if we want to be up there this year.

Whilst Im happy with the win to Parra, there's definatley gotta be a lot of improvement in the defence, especially the goal line defence, that was woeful tonight. I mean it's very ordinary conceding 5 soft tries 10m from their own line.

Although whenever Newcastle was on their own line, we made some big hits and put pressure on them, but once Parra gave away a penalty they started to piggy back them. Cant do that to teams like Newcastle, Brisbane and Roosters.

Good effort though, Im happy with the win.

I don';t really think it's so much the goalline defence but more the marker defence.

When the Knights were close to the line but spread the ball wide not much was happening but once they darted from dummy half or 1st receiver they scored tries and made breaks.

Hurriflatch, you're right with that. Just watch replays from our last two games and see how many tries have been scored against us from dummy-half.

it is definately our marker defence, we really need to lift this area, the other area i see as others have said is the piggy back due to penalties...

5 tries from dummy half in the last 2 games.

I was impressed with Parra's defence around the middle of the field. They really toughened up and forced the Knights back a fair few times in defence. This is a good change from the alst few years and particularly round 1

Three of there 5 tries were very very soft. Soft tries are what will cost us. What I liked in the second half was the fact that someone reminded Hindmarsh that kneeling down when they are close to the line and not rushing up is the way to go. And some of his friends seemed to copy him after he tried it.
