We handed them the game.

Best game of the year (if it finished at 60 minutes) I thought Dragons were going to put 100 on you blokes after Boyd scored.

Can't believe Wesser.

Newc,

We played with more commitment to defend than we have had for eons.

We all know that Wesser and Talanoa are liabilities, we just need the blind Coach to see it too.

Say if Wesser does not have that blow up, and we somehow did score, we do not necessarily win, but it would have been nice to see how the game would have panned out from there.

If we play something like that most weeks, we will win enough games to get us into the top half of the table. That I know for certain.

Agreed Zig.The defence was our best since 2007.Just poor options in attack hurt us badly again.

So much better defensively but no try now for about 154 minutes. We all know we won't back that defensive effort up next week and the two most mentally inept players in the club in Talanoa and Wesser will be selected. Also what the hell is McPherson's roll, he has no value to the team with his 20-25 mins game time and errors. We badly need another half decent prop in our rotation but we do not have one anywhere at least for this year unless George makes makes steps forward.

I also thought that our attack looked good around 20-40m out, but when they got in the 20 it again looked a little stifled.

That said, the Saints defence ensured that we didn't have alot of time to react in that zone.

Zig,when we are in the oppostions's 20,there is not enough bodies in motion, not many decoys.

Can't argue against that, hopefully we can start working on at least a few plays to mix it up over the next few weeks.

One thing that really bugs me,(amongst many)and its been happening for a couple of seasons now,is we just dont get deep enough in attack.Way to flat.

How different would the game have been if
a) the play that had to go to the video ref because it was that close to being over the line for a try
b) the play we got over the line and got physically dragged back
c) wesser's 0 tackle kick
d) wesser's easy drop ball
e) talanoa's general ineptness

If those 5 points turned out differently we win the game.

We can't do anything about the plays where a blade of grass is the difference between 4 points and nothing.

But we can do something about Wesser and Talanoa. Time to get Wesser to retire. time to give Talanoa another run with the Bears.

No patience.

Sandow was lazy at the end of the game, didn't move up in defence and didn't chase on the inside. Is he really up to first grade standard?

You could say the same thing about the dragons, how about sowards 40-20 that went into touch but was missed by the ref?

what if, what if, what if...

No patience and silly penalties cost us the game. Yeah, our defence was good, but at the same time we shouldn't heve been putting ourselves under so much pressure.

Wesser and Talanoa cost you, more Talanoa he really offers nothing at all surely you've got a young bloke in the backline who could step up

We do. That's the most frustrating bit. There's 4 blokes I'd be happy we put in right now. But Lang doesn't seem to ever drop anyone unless they're injured.

The only player I've noticed really respond positively (on the field) to Lang's loyalty in selections was Champion ... and he, sadly, isn't a Bunny in 2011.
