We must re-sign Moodie

I know Jason was only signed to cover for injuries, but id rather re-sign him that Milies. I reckon milies is a good back up at best, and can possibly cover fullback aswell so he should be offered a lower scale contract. It is vital that we re-sign Moodie. I dont know how old he is but if he and richards are the wingers than we have fire power

Eye - it still depends on the NSW Fire Brigade intake - so we may be a chance!

He has 1-2 seasons left - and only retired at end-2003 because Parra pushed him!!!

Not doubting Moodie is class, but I think we have the sufficient young talent coming through to cover a wing spot.Dean Collis would be my 1st choice, but i`ve also heard big wraps about Jermaine Alberts,Nathan McMahon,David Pangai,Sam Wara,Shannon McDonnell and Peter Lett to name a few!

Good kids you mention Vicious - but Collis is a centre and the rest are just kids!!!

Moodie is a specialist winger - and is the best winger at the club to teach the likes of Collis etc about wing-play before they make the next step!

How many talented youngsters who play in the centres or fullback in the lower grades make their mark in 1st grade as a winger before progressing to their preferred position?

We cant rush these young blokes, and id rather have the experience guys to help them out. I reckon next year with farrah, marshall, fitzy, lima, gibbs, fulton and small as our young guns coming through we shouldnt rush too many more junior players in. My side for next year looks like this

1. Hodgson
2.Moodie
3.Elford
4.Haletau
5.Richards
6.Marshall
7.Prince
8.Payten
9.Farrah
10.Skando (c)
11.Galea
12.Sattler
13.Fulton

14.Kerr
15.Gibs
16.Laffranchi
17.Lima

To me that is a great combination of youth and experience, and the depth we would have would be incredible

I wouldn`t complain about that side, but I reckon Frank Pritchard should be our main priority signing.

Laffranchi on the bench.......you have to be kidding me.

The rest is pretty good.

I would definitely look to re-sign Moodie......especially over Miles.Moodie is the best finisher we have, and is going great guns.

And Id love us to sign Prichard,he is a gun.

Agreed. Sign him. He actually has class and is our best finisher amongst the backs. He definately has at least one more year left in him before the youngins can be brought in.

Laffranchi is our best forward & will play State Of Origin in 2005!

Good to see the traditional tiger loyalty when it comes to origin sleections, but if skando cant make it then laffranchi wont!!!

Bib,I see your point. But I think Laffranchi has the potential to be a far better player than Skandy.

Boof has skillls that Skandy just doesnt have....no way am I putting shit on Skandy who is a gun.But Boof has ball skills and try scoring potential that Skandy just doesnt.

If Boof keep playing the way he is,then I reckon in 2-3 years he will at least be playing for Country....thats only one step away from NSW.

I Skandy was ever going to get picked it was this year.....I think thats it for him.Boof is a kid and on the way up.

All my opinion of course...... ;-) ;-)

Plus he'll make 30+ tackles, & 20 hit-ups a game. Phenomenal work rate. Give him a blue jersey NOW!

Id like to see him beef up a bit more.He is as tall as Webcke,if he put on that ten or so kilos to get to that battering ram stage we would have ourselves a champion......

Sheensie, make sure Boof is eating his veggies........ ;-) ;-)

Apparently Canberra’s Joel Monaghan is in our sights, but Manly are also interested in him, and his brother plays there. He would be a terrific signing.

simon - you are talking about very different body-types!!!

Boof will physically develop without blowing his weight out to unplayable standards!
