We stoop so low

If true this is both hilarious and depressing at the same time. Sheens is pathetic at the best of times, and the hypocrisy on the wrestle is pretty standard for deluded egotistical coaches, but complaining about neutral referees? Really? Really?

Isn't it enough that you get to change the rules without consulting anyone else? F*cks sake, do they need a few points head start and a sloped pitch too just to make things fair?

Why is ol' Shifty Sheens trying to hoard players when the Kangaroos are too tired to play tests every other year?

This is why the new Origin eligilbity rules are great.

Jason T isn't eligible for QLD, and therefore would clearly choose to play for NZ over Australia.

And the recent success of NZ will influence a generation to come.

Seeing SOO is out of the question why is the question why did he pick NZ over Tonga? If the answer is found it might get to how we can strengthen international footy

Well according to wiki, he was born in Auckland went to school there and played his first game of Rugby League there.

I would say because he considered himself a Kiwi, and he played for Tonga only because it was an option due to his heritage.

So why is it that the ARLC want these kids to sign letters of intent to pledge for Australia when they refused to recognise the letters of intent signed by Josh Papalii etc for the Kiwis...

Sounds a bit hypocritical if you ask me...
Its called double standards.
You should only be allowed to play for a country
1. If you was born there.
2. If you have a parent who was born there.
3. If you have lived in that country for at least 10 years.
Once you have played for a country at senior level you shouldn't be allowed to switch countries.
Nice simple rules that everybody can understand with no grey areas.

Yet when Australian born Milford wants to play for his country of birth it's because 'QLD poached him'. The same thing happens across the ditch and it's fine but here it's because of SOO

That ones a problem to implement as it would mean League would have stricter rules than the actual countries residency rules.

The once you have played for one rule however, whilst I understand your sentiment, actually hurts international League in its current state.

Totally agree with you f2323, the problem is players know they can switch and are actively encouraged to switch by people who should know better.

Where has he indicated he wants to play for QLD and Tonga? QLD and NZ maybe. Tonga's test schedule doesn't exactly inspire players to play for them over the big 3

did you all miss the word "maybe"?

if the island nations had a anzac weekend test and a proper end of season program...and players where able to origin & for a island nation....then MAYBE lots of players would choose that option...

but we'll never know cos the ARLC are terrified.....and theres no "maybes" about that lol

what are you blathering on about?

he has clearly chosen NZ over Tonga, so he is obviously going to choose NZ + Qld over Tonga + Qld, if given the choice.
