Watching the game I expected Blake to be the scapegoat on here. But as soon as Moses went down I knew that would change.

Loss has nothing to do with JA. But at same time the kid is basicaly garbage.Shame on you BA . I'd say he is Ron Massey cup level and thats where he should be next season. I've seen enough of him in NSW CUP behind a powerfull forward pack.He may turn out ok. Finals isn't the time to give a kid with very little talent or athletic ability game time.

Waqa as I said is to suspect under high ball to be a winger. He is a centre. Wingers have to be good under high ball. He isn't.

Penrith just waited for us to fatigue then crushed us. It had nothing to do with having a Ron Massey cup halfback on the bench. By time Moses went off our tanks where empty.
They took Lane and Brown out of game. Bashed RCG and JNR.
Game over.

People want to bag me on here for calling it what it is. I can't help it if I have a great understanding of the game. I'm not a pessimist. I think we have enough talent to win. But not the shit we play every finals series.

When you say very little talent it shows you have NFI or its just an agenda.

I agree with he should not be in first grade as a bench player and needs more speed.

BTW calling it what it is? Everyone saw what happened yesterday. You can regurgitate the same thing all the commentators say about Penrith and think you know what your talking about but you don't.

Here’s a question that needs answering

6 NRL players are leaving at the end of this season, and we as a club have known for some time. Recruitment could even be seen as an afterthought, a banged up veteran hooker, 2 reserve grade forwards who couldn’t make their current sides and that’s it so far.

as MON said previously, don’t worry players are ringing me constantly to come to the club, hello , who’s left out there to add and bring value.

We are supposedly a big club, yet we act like we are worse than most clubs, good administrators don’t hesitate and sign good players almost immediately, hate to mention the Roosters and others . Let’s hope we are surprised, but with season tickets to go on sale, where is the improvement in the roster for next year. The failure to add an experienced half was blindingly terrible and it has cost.

18/19 year olds need physical attributes to succeed and when an inexperienced , still raw physically half seems to have played more games at his age than Jarryd Hayne did, well that tells us something.
Do you consider Hopgood some nothing reserve grader?

I see him in a similar fashion to what Lane, Papalii and maybe Nrown were .... potentially good NRL players who aren't getting a crack at their current team .... I think Hopgood is a good NRL player going forward

He lacks athletic ability
He doesn't bark order or lead a side
His kicks are wonky

Depends what you look for in a halfback. But above would be the 3 main things for me

Not sure which part you consider a joke.
you seem to be suggesting that JA is a hooker option ..... no one legitimately thinks he is a #9 replacing the backup hooker(s) we have ... he just happens to be the person who will play dummy half for spot minutes ..... some others may have said he can fill hooker .... so I am assuming you are having a joke at their expense

To mix it around , we should also rotate the pack

Of course do it in training first.

Maybe switch lane and paps during the game. Their rhs defenders wouldve done thier homework on lane just as melbourne did.

But would the lhs defemders

Actually although will defended really well when marata was at centre, we had better go forward gettting out from a kick coz he was back

It is a shame our 2 centres cant play wing and a little on the short side

Bailey is better under the high ball but his defense is suss

Maybe 2. Bailey and stick waqa as the 14 as a middle forward.. Just a stab in the dark. He csn ruck it out but whether he can dedefend in the middle is something else

He shouldn't be in any grade. At one stage Jnr was looking to offload only to find fresh legs Jake 10m behind the play. Brad's a joke for having him in anywhere near top 30.

Rcg and Paulo burnt themselves last week i reckon so couldn't get it up against a fresh panfers forward pack

Jnr was sweating like crazy before kick off. Maybe he overdid the warm up.

I think the point is that we are losing 6 NRL level players (realistically Top 20 in our squad) and we've only replaced two of those with NRL level players.

We're going to have to have someone on the bench to play at least 15 minutes a week with Hodgson in the team. Hodgson hasn't played 80 minutes for quite some time, that is unlikely to change given his age next year.

Possibly , Hopgood will do ok, he lacks size to be a prop which we need, he is a lock in the Radley mould, but we have Matto there.

my point is, losing 6 players well before the start of the season, has the club done enough to cover their loss. Would you think for a moment that the Roosters and others would sit back, I’m disappointed at the lack of apparent urgency in covering those players. Maybe MON is like a duck, calm of the surface, paddling furiously underneath, but to sit back and let the roster weaken is an issue.

Here’s the real dilemma, who actually replaces, Nikore, Kaufusi, Papalii, Opacic, and look what we lost when Stone wasn’t available, JA stepped into that area, a 19 year old making a massiv step up physically.

No experienced half recruited is a lesson for the people responsible for building a club. The Riff signed OSullivan as cover, sensible and we did what, nothing it seems.

I look for a halfback that has vision. He has it. He should not be in first grade as he has weaknesses and Cleary showed his easily yesterday.
We all know he is slow and lateral movement is horrible BA should also know that. Cleary knew it and as soon as he came onto the field attacked him.

agree .... hodgson wont cut it for 80 .... i think we have tried to develop some versatility in reserves this year

i'm with everyone else - i hope JA isnt that replacement dummy half off the bench.

Blake was the worst player on the field nothing surer, little Jakey didn’t help matters but with 6 errors Wanker cost us any chance of winning last night. Arthur’s effort last night just proved to us all he’s not a first graders arsehole and the only reason he is anywhere near the side is his last name.

As I've said in the past I'm no Arthur fan either and personally wouldn't include him in the squad.

However, I have no doubt that if he had a different last name there wouldn't be as much focus on him. Its all some merkins on here post about FFS.
