I'm extremely nervous for this game.

According to my predictions, if we lose to Chicago, we miss the playoffs (on the safe assumption that Packers beat us at home).

Should win. But then I remember the great collapse of last season. And Clausen ads a sense of the unknown.

Most nervous I've been for a game since 2011.

SOL (Same Old Lions) ?

Hahaha me and some mates immediately piled literally hundreds of dollars of Lions -7 the moment we heard about Clausen

I think between 8 of us, we've got over $900 invested before the line moves. Im in for $150 myself. Which only means one thing...

I think they'll stick by him another season.

On the safe assumption he's cabbage again, then they'll try palm him off. Somehow.....

7 years... holy f**king shit.

Just looked at his contract.... If the Bears cut him this offseason they have to cop $25.5M in dead money...

Edit... Actually... Squash that... I'm confused.,,

What teams would be interested if Cutler is cut loose? Jets maybe? Texans perhaps? But he is certainly not the franchise quarterback The Broncos and Bears thought he'd be.

Trading Cutler was one of the only highlights of the McDaniels era in Denver.

Tampa if they decide not to go with a QB in the draft.

Jimmy Pickles was the QB of the Panthers for my first season of really watching the NFL. It made me think twice about following NFL.

I don't think the line will move much. Replace one terrible QB with another. Bears might get up for this game just to stick it to Cutler.

The Texans & The Rams are probably the best fit Id say...

The Texans have a strong defence and a strong running game... So it takes the emphasis off Cutler.

The Rams have a strong defence also and a promising young running back in that Mason kid... Cutler could come in to provide competition to Sam Bradford and be a decent insurance policy of Bradford goes down again...

The contract is the stumbling block... If the Bears cut him... Then he's more appealing.

The Bears surely don't benefit from cutting him. And no other team would surely be stupid enough to pick up that contract.

I see them rolling with him again next season and hoping he comes good.

That's prett much it. Draft a project, if cutler is still stinking it up you have a fallback option.

I may be wrong but if they keep him next season they're on the hook for more guaranteed money the year after. So if he stinks it up again next season and there's no chance of trading him again they'll be in the same situation.

Half way through this blockbuster, hard to think we've only got 30 minutes left of this incredible match up
