Week 2 Finals?

Putting the cart slightly before the horse here but I was thinking.

We run 8th and play St.Gillawara week 1 and win, where is our week 2 final?

I know it's a 'home region' final, does that mean we get it at Bruce or did the NRL decide our home region is Sydney?

It'd be at Bruce. Warriors had a 2nd week final in NZ a couple of years ago and their ground is a similar size to Bruce.

It's a stupid system, 26 weeks of football is thrown out the window after one week of finals. I know it works in our favour this year, but the team who does better all year deserves to retain home field advantage I think.

Yer totally agree, funniest thing was after the 2009 minor premiers Dragons lost to Eels in wk 1 they had to go to Brisbane and then Melbourne just to make the GF

I suppose they'll never change it now and nor they should, saying that im in for AFL System its much better

I only ask because I seem to recall when they brought in the home region finals we were classed as being in the Sydney 'region'. Anyone else remember that or is my memory playing games on me?

I vaguely remember something like that a few years ago. Common sense usually takes a few years to prevail in the NRL so hopefully they've sorted it out.

I'm pretty sure Week 2 in Canberra, Week 3 in Sydney. Same for Newcastle.

hope we win well this week and Manly gets smashed so we can jump them as well and by a miracle Eels smash the warriors but i doubt the eels will turn up and play this week anyway
