RESULTS

Force 16-10 Cheetahs
Hurricanes 22-17 Highlanders
Waratahs 11-7 Chiefs
Stormers 27-24 Reds
Brumbies18-16 Crusaders
Bulls 59-26 Blues
Sharks 25-10 Lions

NZ teams did very poorly with the Canes the only team to pick up a win,
Chiefs and highlanders still wineless, altho highlanders r very unlucky to not have any wins. Blues got killed on the scoreline and in injuries, about half their team is injured.

Waratahs r looking good, and would be my pick to win this thing, atho the bulls and sharks u cant go past.

anyway

The Bulls are looking good they are the only team to smash their opponents. Obviously they haven't been tested yet and won't with a game against the Lions but they certainly have started well.

Tahs may have had a ugly win but have also only conceded 29 points in 2 games

they have definitely improved their defense from last year

to win against the bulls in SA is very hard, altitude is the biggest porblem, the only way to counteract that is thru experience and as we have seen with the reds and blues taking over very young and inexperienced sides it hasn't worked well for them, if the waratahs or brumbies went over i'd fancy their chances alot more.

Waratahs r looking good i'd hate to say, top 4 contendors along with sharks and bulls.

NZ teams arn't looking too good, altho very early and bit misguided to write them off.

We had no chance. If we are to come close to winning the title which is very unlikely, then Lavea must play in the 10 jersey. We have the talent in the backline and we really should be challenging for the title.

yeh i guess i was over confident after the blues win in perth, and the close game the bulls had with the reds

but injuries are destroying us atm, tomorrow we wil find out how bad they are, but i think Joe is comming back.

Where was Lavea? wasn't even in the 22, he has to be better than Gopperth, Gopperth is a worser version of mehrtens.

The team Lam picked wasn't the best he could have done, he showed way to much faith in the catchment area (ie northalnd, harbour, blues)

Tahs defence is as great as usual it's more a case of can they score enough tries. First game they were looking good but with better defence they struggled. The Crusaders have the best defence in the comp though, they too just need to get that attack working which they probably will.

yeh stephen brett at fullback wasn't a good choice, hes a five eighth/inside, doesn't help that Mccaaw, thorn and Sean Maitland, Leon were out, anyway i didn't c the game, so i dont know how they went, i only saw the force game.
