RFL signs Muslim athletes charter

The Rugby Football League becomes the first English sports governing body to sign the Muslim athletes charter.

Signing up to some activist group's charter is tokenism at best.

If the RFL truly cared about increasing Muslim engagement and participation numbers then they'd put their money (and/or resources) where their mouth is and get in amongst the communities on the ground.

The blatant invasion of political elements into the sport is also highly concerning, though I guess that horse bolted long ago.
