I mentioned on another thread that sadly this Welsh team is decimated by injury and they now have to rely mainly on part timers and amateurs, therefore I expect Australia to put a massive score against Wales,
on a positive note its great to see about 5 of the Welsh side coming out of the Rugby League Conference.

Underestimate the pride and passion pumping through the veins of a Dragons player at your own risk.

Sadly Wales are missing far to many full time proffesionals, they will fight for a while but will run out of legs.

Australia buy 40

If Lee Briers is there, they have a chance.....if

Otherwise it will be a bit too easy for Australia unfortunately. Please prove me wrong through Welsh, I would love it for the League side to pull one of the biggest upsets in sporting history, whilst the Union side gets thumped by the All Blacks.

Yes i fear Welsh sport will take a battering over the weekend, hopefully the Dragons put in a good show against the roos.

I noticed that Aled James is likely to be out and Justin Morgan will be playing with a broken nose. Also Carvell and Farrell were missing from the Russian game, I hope these guys play against the roos, otherwise an already depleted team starts to look very thin indeed.

Yakstorm how big an 'IF' is it with the little magician Briers?

I've heard mixed reports.

It was reported here yesterday that he won't play again until April 04. Kelly has stated he won't be risked even if he makes the claim to play himself.

If only Wales could have fielded Briers, Cunningham and Harris would have made for a great deal of attacking pottencey.

Carvell should never even be in the same room as a Welsh shirt in the future . When he was picked for the squad by Neil Kelly he never even responded to Kelly`s phone calls . He never acknowledged any communication Kelly tried to make with him . He didn`t turn up for training and was replaced by Hull K.R.`s Jon Aston .As far as I`m aware he hasn`t been in touch to this day A disgrace to the game of Rugby League and an embarrassment to his club Hull F.C.

I kinda got the impression the Carvell wasn't committed to Wales as he hasn't played for them for ages. Why the hell do these guys play for a team and then turn their backs on them?

There are heaps of players that aren't playing this year that did in the past.
Here are some that I can think of that are not playing this year for no apparent reason.

Scotland:

Danny Orr
Dale Laughton
Scott Logan

Ireland:

Jimmy Lowes
Chris Joynt
Michael Withers
Tommy Martyn
Gavin Clinch
Mick Cassidy
Ryan Sheridan
Terry O'Connor

Wales

Carvell
Mason
Luckwell

I know that some of these guys are probably injured or have sojme other excuse for turning their back on their adopted countries, but I know that some are just fickle idiots who bring the game into even more disrepute that grandparent rule already does.

Mason turned his back on Wales in favour of England A because he felt he had a better chance of making GB selection.

Ask David Waite why a player has more chance of making GB through England A than Wales.
