i would say this year will be a good chance for rugby league to again test the capacity of wembley - warrington v leeds is a mouth-watering prospect for the neutral english fan - cross-pennines duel - two big bands of supporters - should be a super clash with close to 90,000 in attendance - can't wait

we'll never sell out wembley...

the RFL only has 75,000 tickets too sell, which we've pretty much sold since our return to wembley back in 2007..

the reason we'll never hit the capacity is because of the 15,000 club wembley seats, who's owners don't have to attend and the RFL can't re-sell this tickets if they can't be arsed going...

What roughy said, and plus selling out Wembley is damn near impossible. Not even soccer does it. Anything over 85,000 should be as good as you're gonna get.

i would certainly expect it to be the biggest cc final crowd since the redevelopment of the ground - as close to full as we can get then - ;-)

Thats sh*t because when you watch the final you see a big row of empty seats which gives you the impression it's not sold out when what see is the members area:(
Saying that i would love to see the CC at Old Trafford now.

its would'nt be so bad if it was just the middle tier that was club wembley you'd never see that during the tv broadcast.....its the 2 massive blocks either side of the tunnel on the bottom tier that gets most attention...even when all the club wembley seats have been taken like say for the FA cup final...at half time they all sod off and don't come back till 10mins into the 2nd half

Just encourage everybody in the nosebleeds to sneak down!

not the new one we have'nt darlin.....and i've been to 2 of the 3 finals at the new wembley

i said we had sold out wembley, not the new wembley - :D - i concede it may be technically impossible to fill the ground for anything since it has been redeveloped

As all the club Wembley seats are already "sold" then technically it will be a sell out ;)

apparently there were only 500 tickets left earlier BTW. Good going methinks.

the point i was originally making in the thread was that warrington v leeds is the biggest draw match at wembley since the redevelopment of the ground - it is the sort of game that we once would have got close to 100,000 for - shame the ground doesn't hold what it used to - btw, we filled wembley first in the immediate years following WWII and it was an awe inspiring sight with the ground packed to the rafters and the rugby league posts in place - it remains in my view the greatest ground on which rugby league has been played

Good stuff. Anyone heard anything from Nine about getting a live telecast down here in Australia? I know they did it last year, hopefully they do it again.
