Positioning on the ladder doesnt mean everything.

Take the pre-season this year. Everyone is writing Arsenal off, saying that their city rivals T*tt*nh*m are better than them and that they will beat them to the Champions league. Imagine how low the morale is throughout the team, board, and coaching staff.

Not only that but the fans also worry. Yes Arsenal have tasted alot of success. Surely that sets a certain benchmark to which Arsenal perform. Champions League is a regular thing to us and when everyone from the media to opposition coaches say we're not going to play Champions League football because of our city rivals fans and players alike feel like they're in a hole that they cant climb out of.

We are just extremely lucky that we have arguably the best coach in the world who can lift what would have been the crushed spirits of his very young team.
