I commend you for your great spirit and fair play.

Most of us thought that the West Indies were going to be a big joke and lose 3-0. After the Brisbane debarcle, it looked like happening.

Over the last two tests, you guys have won the Australian public over. Deep down, I bet most Aussies hope you win today. Even if you don't, you guys won the hearts and minds battle.

Over the years, Australia have sent many teams home with their tails bewtween their legs. West Indies showed some true grit even though they have obvious skill limitations.

You guys leave our shores with RESPECT!!!

I agree

this has also been a very good test series, not a lop sided affair that we normally see

long live test cricket

Gotta agree, these last 2 tests have been great to watch. The Windes have found some good young players this tour lets hope they can build on this.

Absolutely. Two test going into the final day with both sides a chance to win. That's what test cricket is all about. Plenty of fire and niggle. Fast and aggressive bowling, a bit of turn and batsmen at various times tied down or unleashing like it's a T20 game.

I still don't think Gayle is a great captain, but he's shown in the last two tests that he can be a great leader if not a great tactician. Two inspiring and contrasting knocks.

I hope we get the last wicket today, but 2-0 wouldn't be a fair indication of the series.

Shame WI next test series is hosting South Africa in June 2010, a good 6-7 months away.

Kallis v Bravo

Harris v Benn

Smith v Gayle

I think it is great seeing a solidified batting line-up for the Windies team.

1. Chris Gayle (spin allrounder)
2. Adrian Barath
3. Ramnaresh Sarwan
4. Shivnarine Chanderpaul
5. Brendan Nash
6. Dwayne Bravo (pace allrounder)
7. Denesh Ramdin

Add to that mix, Travis Dowlin who has looked gritty and solid in most of his Test innings, as well as the talented strokeplaying and spin bowling prowess of Narsingh Deonarine.

Times CAN look good ahead if these players are persisted with.

Roach has been a real find for them. Add Taylor and Bravo and one other quick to go with Benn and they have a handy attack.

Edwards?

Problem with the seam attack of Roach, Edwards and Taylor is that they are all express pace strike bowlers.

They need a consistently accurate bowler who can also be incisive. Rampaul looked okay but is still a bit raw and needs to lose some weight, but Tonge and Sammy were pretty average.

Yeah I don't know about Edwards. Pretty wayward. Maybe Rampaul can develop into the man. He and Bravo could get through a fair few overs, or they could look at playing Deonarine instead of a fourth quick and push Ramdin down to 8, especially on slower decks. Either way they showed enough to suggest that a few test wins aren't far away.

Roach is pretty accurate for a quick, with more matches he should develop into a strike bowler with control.

I really like what I have seen from Roach so far, can't wait to see him aginst South Africa. He is still only 21, so time will tell how he develops as a bowler, but he looks great so far ...
