Chase v DeGois...Magpies are full of confidence with a win over the Knights, shouldve won the earlier clas a few weeks back....I wonder if Balmain will turn up to play THIS weekend?

Lets hope so, on paper Balmain should destroy the pies but these games NEVER work out the way the look on paper - way too much emotion involved for that.

Reynolds at half scares me but by all accounts he played ok last week and its great to have nowland back on deck.

I've no idea who will fill the 4th bench spot for Balmain, Ewen Cameron isn't named in either flegg or PL and isn't on the injury list either so I guess it could possibly be him?

MArvellous the 2 sides of the JV belting eachother senseless. And 500k spent on running each of the 2 PL sides. Surely it is time to merge PL and use the savings to retain boom youngsters instead of to pay players such as reynolds, richter/kaufusi, patterson etc ???

Since the Magpies done the fair thing and let the joint venture be called the Wests Tigers, surely Balmain, BRET or whoever they are should return the favour and let a joint Premier League side be called the Wests Magpies. Then, i don`t think the Magpies would have a problem in merging.

I agree with ya, but the joint venture isn`t paying a cent for any of the Magpies players other than the good young ones that are on scholarships.
Nether the less, i too would like it to be merged and called the Wests-Balmain Magpies.

I don't care what it is called. But the point is Wests Leagues and Football clubs have t contribute money to fund their PL side as it stands, as do Balmain with their PL side. If there was 1 side (funded by both leagues and football clubs) then there would be surplus funds which could be used to retain promising flegg, ball players etc, as well as perhaps poach some good young players from other clubs

Oh sorry forgot that what 5 - 8 over 10-15yrs means an exodus and Roosters have a morgate on the juniors in our area

His drivil about the roosters is nothing but utter crap, we lose players to various clubs get over it kingy!
